Certified instructor description: A mix of true yoga poses and traditional toning taught by Jennifer Aniston’s yoga teacher. You’ll build flexibility, reshape your muscles ... and maybe even laugh out loud (one of the mantras is “I have a great ass”). Mandy’s non-intimidating blend of yoga and toning is fluid, seamless and natural. Examples: a “crescent” flows into a lunge; a “cat stretch” morphs into a hydrant. It’s all taught in fitness-style “eights” — hold for 8 breaths, do 8 reps, pulse for 8 counts. Excellent original-artist soundtrack, includes “Floating” by Katherine Liner and “Brand New Day” by Rebekah Lebeau. The DVD offers three play options: (a) The full 55-minute workout with cuing. (b) A 35-minute "express version" of the same workout. (c) The express version with only the music, no verbal cuing. ©2009. DVD has: 2 premixes (27 to 36 min. alternate workouts), Wide screen.

Yogalosophy with Mandy Ingber

terrible
Mandy goes into downward dog from child's pose and doesn't even tell you! cuing is awful, unless you can actually SEE what she is doing you can't do the video, and how can you possibly see her change position from child's pose to downward dog - very disappointed! - posted by Amy on 4/7/2012
Agree has it's issues but has it's good points
I too was hesitant to purchase this workout. I like the combo of toning and yoga. It is a little different from traditional yoga. She could have added more yoga moves to the workout. BUT, I agree her comments are egotistical. And they can be very annoying. If she makes another workout I suggest she read the suggestions of the other reviewers, because I think if she did it really would not be a bad workout. I just felt those body comments were directed to other Hollywood types who spent a lot of time obsessing over their butts. I think she needs to realize that regular folks may want to do this workout. - posted by Mary on 2/12/2012
Good Yoga work but lacks cuing...
This is definitely a dvd fusion of yoga and some traditional exercises. The only disappointment is the lack of proper cuing. It works out well if you do it in front of a mirror with the TV on the opposite wall-behind you so you could see her movements. - posted by Z on 1/17/2012
Good all over toning workout
This is my first Yoga DVD. I am new at Yoga and thought it would be good for stretching, toning, and just a new kind of workout. Well I am pleasantly surprised with this workout. The moves are easy to do but deliver a good burn. I really like Mandy's personality and views on exercising. She is fun and I do enjoy this dvd. The only con I have is that you need to keep your eyes on the T.V. as she will be in the next move and you won't know til you look up. The background is relaxing and calm. I would recommend this dvd. - posted by Mary on 1/11/2012
Not the best
The concept behind this video is a great idea, mixing yoga with reps of squats, push ups, etc. The cuing is terrible. It's hard to watch the video for the changing poses while you are in the poses. It would also be great if Mandi didn't talk so much. This is not my favorite video and I will probably return it. - posted by Tammy on 1/5/2012
Funny Instructor-Mandy with great yoga
I love her poses and simple. It is great toning included. The most important muscle parts are useful. I can tell she is funny person and fun to be with. Her poses are very clear and show how to do it. I am not advanced but really like this one of rare yoga. I dont like many yoga at all. I am lifter however. I recommend this for anyone! - posted by Monika on 1/4/2012
Terrible Workout
The cues are really terrible and the pacing is awkward. She also doesn't realize that if we do this every day, her silly comments will really become annoying. The workout is nothing special. I'm sorry I bought this, and I can't really recommend it at all. - posted by Monica on 12/21/2011
Love it!
I love this DVD so much! The cueing could be better but once you do it a few times you know what to expect...and I am always sore the next day! I think Mandy is funny and inspiring. I wish she would make another DVD that's very similar to this one but with a few more challenging yoga poses and maybe more ab focused toning exercises (this one seemed to target mostly the legs and glutes). I am 28 and in very good shape and have been doing yoga for about 5 years so the yoga poses weren't very challenging, but combined with the toning exercises, I found them really effective. Great job! - posted by Jill on 12/16/2011
Like it a lot!
It's true that this isn't a workout where you quietly reach your Zen potential but quite frankly, those can be too boring to keep doing! Mandy makes it fun while still giving you the physical benefits of Yoga. I say that's a great combo! - posted by Mimi on 10/20/2011
Good yoga workout!
I am constantly looking for good yoga DVDs. Nothing too advanced, but enough to give me a challenge. Thanks to Ms. Mandy, I've found what I was looking for. The workout is great. I like that it's a hybrid style workout. Basic yoga moves that are kicked up a notch with toning exercises. The scenery and music are great. Upbeat is an understatement to describe Mandy. She is down to earth and breaks the moves down and gives you a little background on where the move derives from. She makes you work, but she also makes you smile. I'm looking forward to my next workout with this one! - posted by Krista on 10/17/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
