Certified instructor description: A body-part-targeted workout with a unique twist — each 10-minute segment also includes a complementary cardio element (e.g. the “Leg Definer” segment alternates squats and lunges with plyometric aerobics). This aero/tone interval technique keeps you burning calories as you tone specific “problem areas.” Each segment has a body-part focus: legs, arms, upper/lower, abs and buns. But they’re all different. Some emphasize the cardio, others the toning. Some feature short intervals, others have longer progressions. Some are mostly standing, others are mostly floorwork. Requires 3 to 10 lb. dumbbells. One-on-one instruction by Emily Welsh and Rebekah Sturkie. Note: all-new production, not re-edited from earlier videos. ©2010. DVD has: Programmable chapters, Wide screen, Region 1.

The Firm: Target Toning Zero in Ten

Great workout
I consider myself to be an advanced exerciser & have pretty much every Firm video out there. 10 minutes does not sound like a lot of time but every minute counts in this video, and I found it to be a challenge. I liked that it is so flexible in that you can combine as many sections as you want to fit your schedule. Overall, I feel this is a great addition to my Firm collection and would recommend to anyone from a first-timer to advanced. Great workout! - posted by Abby on 3/16/2012
Great workouts
I'm getting back into doing shorter workouts and this dvd provides 5 different 10 minute workouts to mix and match, so boredom is held at bay. - posted by LaTona on 3/8/2012
Zero to Ten Firm workout
I have been ordering workout videos through this website. I have always been pleased. I am a seriously crazy workout fiend. LOL. I owe just about all the firms ever made, yes even the older ones. Also I have all Leslie Sansone's and most of Denise Austin's. I was just thrilled to see the zero to ten video by Firm because we, as women, are always looking for a quick, hit the spot workout for those busy days. which as a mom, school teacher, soccer coach of pre-teen girls, and helping run the office in my husband's business, those days come often for me. I went from 218 lbs. to 133 lbs using all the videos I've bought through Collage Video. I can go on forever and ever about how I owe Collage Video My full and absolute thanks for my health and physical outcome, but I am only writing a review about this video. Okay, zero to Ten was a great video, however there is suppose to be 5-10min workouts. my video has a glitch or just a freak mess up because I only got 3 of the 10min videos on there. These 3 were cool. And ontop of that, Fun. You can tell where the other 2 should be but then it kind of skips or jumps ahead to the next one that is on there. I do know I could have returned it within a certain amount of days for replacement, but I think it would be a waste of the companies money to pay for shipping again and providing another video. It's just a petty flaw. Nothing to boo hoo about. This company really has good videos for all types of fitness and at a considerable low price. It's always like Christmas for me when my orders arrive. When I'm able to get extra finances again I WILL be buying another Zero to Ten video from collage video. I would still give the video a 5 star because I got a great and enjoyable workout with just the 3 that ware on there. So I can only imagine how much fun I could have if the other 2 videos were on it. :):) Those ladies rock - posted by Heather T on 2/18/2012
my favorite of all time
I love this workout. It is short, effective, and fund to do. The moves are challenging and achievable. The one pound weight gives the right amount to make the workout give results in a short amount of time. Bonus - the hand weights are excellent for walking and other workouts! You will not go wrong with the purchase of this video. The music is outstanding, the moves are outstanding, the results are incredible! This workout is what the Firm is all about. I rate it 5 stars. If you think it's too short --- by all means go to the start and do it again!!! - posted by Joanne on 11/29/2011
Great mix and match with other FIRM series
LOVE these short workouts! I recently purchased the Firm Express series and add these on to make a 30 minute workout that burns a TON of calories. I quickly get bored with long workouts, so the short workouts mix it up and keep me more interested. I highly recommend this DVD. - posted by Jackie on 10/22/2011
Good Workout.
I like this workout because you can make it as long or short as you want. I have never been a huge fan of exercising. I enjoyed this workout and have honestly seen results since I have been doing this. Everything is leaner and tighter. Normally I would do two of the toning and then add on a cardio like the core segment or the bikini body blaze at the end. If I am short on time I would just do two. It helps eliminate the excuse that "I do not have time to exercise". I liked it so well that I just placed an order for another FIRM dvd. - posted by Courtney on 6/20/2011
Okay
This is okay. It seem to choppy. Although I do like Rebecca in the first part. Emily, seems to be going way to fast and she giving back queing. - posted by lee on 5/27/2011
You can accomplish a lot in 10 minutes!
I love this workout, because you can either use one or two segments to tag on to the end of a long workout, or do the whole 50 mins. Each segment is only 10 mins long, but you're really working up a good sweat after 2 segments. If you do the legs or the buns section, you really feel it during and after the workout! I'd say this one is a keeper. - posted by Laura on 4/23/2011
Gets Results Fast!!
I really like Rebekah as an instructor - and can take Emily in small doses, which is what you get with this video! They have a new method of ramping up the cardio in very short bursts, that seems funny at first, but by the end when you are breaking into a great sweat, you realize how effective this is. I like how short the segments are so you can do a few, or you can do them all depending on your time constraints. LOVE the Firm workouts and this is a really great one! - posted by Kim on 4/21/2011
New Firm video is serious!
So nice to see a new FIRM video that hasn't been repackaged. Effective workout tones muscles and elevates your heart rate at the time time. - posted by val on 4/15/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Programmable chapters
X
At the beginning of your workout, you can select the exact segments you want to play that day. The DVD will then play all those segments in the order you chose.
Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
