Certified instructor description: The “Biggest Loser” instructors lead a no-nonsense series of varied muscle toning moves. The cleverly designed DVD keeps you challenged as you get stronger with three progressively more intense premixes (e.g. a 30-minute Level 1 workout or a 50-minute Level 3 program). The exercises are proven classics, but they’ve been “tweaked” to maximize effectiveness (e.g. a small jump added to a squat, a lateral raise blended into a bicep curl). Jillian Michaels begins with a series of body-scupting basics. Then Kim Lyons boosts the intensity with faster-paced “power blasts.” Bob Harper completes the sequence with challenging isometric and plank exercises. The exercisers are contestants from seasons 3 and 4 of the TV show (“if they can do it, so can you”). Requires 3 to 10 lb. dumbbells. ©2007. DVD has: 3 premixes (30-50 min. alternate workouts), Programmable chapters, Music only option, Close captions, Region 1.

The Biggest Loser: Power Sculpt

jillian is numero uno
Jillians energy jumps right off the screen and into your living room. I've never experienced a personality so focused on her subject and able to connect it to her audience. She is the absolute master at grabbing your attention and motivating you to follow her lead. Buy this video if your interested in becoming a better you ! - posted by mike on 3/1/2012
Easy and it works
I really start seeing results when I use this. I enjoyed the beginner part with Jillian. I haven't moved up the the more advanced option yet but I know they will be there when I do. I am glad I am losing weight. - posted by cindy on 11/25/2011
Good Scultpting Workout!
I think it is interesting. I never knew what I was going to expect of a sculpting workout, but I think when you do maybe 1 or 2 segments of that workout it will really show a burn. I think these exercise or segments really work my muscles as in toning and I LOVE IT!!!! I love Jillian and Bob the most. And I think I am starting to like Kim. They are all great and they all give a great workout. - posted by Megan on 11/12/2011
Great Workout!
A great workout with interesting moves and variety. I am an intermediate/advanced exerciser and really enjoyed level 2 and 3 on this DVD for a great 20 minute total body workout! - posted by Aimee on 8/5/2011
Another Hit!
I love this workout it fun easy to follow yet challenging. It's a must buy for those who love working out with real people not robotic fitness clones :) - posted by gjonisee on 4/1/2011
Great work
I am thoroughly enjoying this program. I already had Cardio Max and now am alternating them. They do work, I have already lost inches and tightened up some of my flab with this sculpting workout!! I have done the first two levels regularly and tried the third once. I made it through it, however I think I pushed too fast, but I will make my way up to it!! Love this workout!! - posted by Donna on 2/3/2011
Not Bad, Not Great
I picked this up in a sale bin, so I didn't expect much. I hate compound moves, always need to switch weights in the middle of a rep. Having said that it was fine. I don't agree that it gets progressively harder, it just gets longer. - posted by robin on 12/13/2010
Enjoyed It!
Great for getting stronger without getting bored. I love the fact that I can extend my workout to 50 minutes for maximum results. - posted by Gjonisee on 3/31/2010
Bob's boot camp gets the job done
I am an intermediate exerciser and on days when I am short on time Bob’s boot camp is my go-to workout. Bob’s cueing is excellent and his boot camp workout manages to get a lot of work done in a short amount of time. This DVD is worth the cost for Bob’s boot camp workout. - posted by Shay on 2/28/2010
This is a solid three segment workout
I have had this workout for almost a year and still go back to it. I do all three segments at once. Jillian's segment is slower compound reps so I can use heavier weights, Jackie is faster reps, super charged so lower weight, Bob's segment is cardio and strength and the plank holding at the end has sweat rolling off my face as I HOLD the move. The contestants are inspiring when I am doing Bob's segment. It's tough. Hopes this helps if your considering this intermediate workout. I give five stars not for the instructors (Bob is the best) but for the workout. - posted by Teresa on 1/1/2010

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Premixes
X
These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
Programmable chapters
X
At the beginning of your workout, you can select the exact segments you want to play that day. The DVD will then play all those segments in the order you chose.
Music only option
X
This feature allows you to play only the music, without any cuing (after you’ve learned the movements and you just want to do the workout without listening to the instruction).
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
