Stress Free Exercise for Arthritis

Stress-Free Exercise for Arthritis
The exercises are very easy to do, and what I like most about the exercise program is that the instructor gives options and variations to people to do the stretches while sitting down or standing up. - posted by Maria on 3/31/2012
Moving
I was very pleased with the fact that the instructor gave hints for doing the exercises different ways on days that you felt better or worse. The movements are slow enough that I was able to do them, but difficult enough that they were a challenge. - posted by Carol on 12/9/2011
Very Satisfied
This video met my expectations and the group who I share it with regularily. It replaced a worn out, similar version. We are happy that this contains additional new exercizes that we also enjoy and are within our abilities to complete. - posted by Darlene on 11/28/2010

I found this video very good for me. I suffered a muscle injury which is requiring a long rehab. The video has a short aerobic segment that I can master right now besides easy stretching and toning. Please get more like this. - posted by Lucia on 5/18/2002
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Stretch type
X
Athletic: Traditional sports-style, all-physical stretches. It is the least mind-body focused.

Yoga: Carefully designed poses that emphasize breath, concentration and mental awareness. It also includes the more flowing yoga style – Power Yoga.

Tai Chi: All-standing, very fluid poses (it looks like a person moving in slow-motion). The Chinese called Tai Chi "meditation in motion."

Specialty: Arthritis
X
Workouts especially designed to reduce arthritis pain. These programs usually blend gentle stretches with light toning and self-massage exercises.
