Sit and Be Fit: Safe Driving Workout

Safe Driving Workout
I like the idea of this DVD but I wish that she would add more reps to each move. For instance instead of two reps I think four would be better. By the time I figured out what she wanted me to do she had started the next move. Also she has a very tiny voice and I am a little hard of hearing but maybe we can blame it all on the fact that I am an active 90 year old. In spite of my problems I intend to get one or more of her DVD's. She knows her subject. - posted by Norma on 1/10/2011
Encouraging & practical
I like instructor Mary Ann Wilson's wonderful "You can do this" attitude and practicality. The exercises can be done anywhere without special equipment, and this is great for doing them when I need a break from desk work. I'm going to suggest this video to my friends, most of whom are over 60 like me. We all want to be safe, responsible drivers. - posted by Barbara on 12/9/2010
Suitable for Seniors
I use this tape at the Senior Center in my city. The Seniors enjoy doing the tape because it uses a medium size ball, a small ball, a band (or towel), and hand weights. The purpose of the tape is to use a variety of easy exercises to help keep one fit for driving. It practices reaction time, finger exercises, eye coordination exercises, leg strengthening, and stretches. This is not a cardiovascular workout nor does it proceed too slowly. - posted by Hazel on 11/27/2010
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Stretch type
X
Athletic: Traditional sports-style, all-physical stretches. It is the least mind-body focused.

Yoga: Carefully designed poses that emphasize breath, concentration and mental awareness. It also includes the more flowing yoga style – Power Yoga.

Tai Chi: All-standing, very fluid poses (it looks like a person moving in slow-motion). The Chinese called Tai Chi "meditation in motion."

Specialty: Seniors
X
Workouts especially designed for older exercisers (e.g. featuring seniors participants or older music styles). They may include all three basic exercise types: aerobics, toning and stretch.
