Certified instructor description: More than just physical activity, your 2 to 7-year-old will also be encouraged to eat a healthy diet. The ultra-easy-to-follow “workout” doesn’t take much space because it’s all about jumping — like a frog, like a kangaroo ... even like a cow (the one who jumped over the moon). The healthy eating segments are low key and non-preachy. Using songs, games and funny characters, you kids will learn the benefits of milk, fruits and veggies. Ends with a kid-style “guided imagery” cooldown and stretch. ©2005. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Sesame Street Happy, Healthy Monsters

Not very useful
All this is is Muppets talking, then jumping a little bit with some kids behind them, with ads for Sesame Street products every 5 minutes. The final segment on nutrition is 'way over a 3 yr. old's head. I will sell my copy - waste of time. I wanted something to get 1,4, and 6 yr olds MOVING during the witching hour before dinner - get the kinks out. But this won't do it. The kids just wanted to SIT and watch.....waste of time. - posted by Peggy on 4/1/2011
HAPPY HEALTHY MONSTERS
The children are enjoying the video, they can relate to Sesame Street. They are very active with it mostly jumping because of their ages. 2 and 3 year olds. Movement was the mission. - posted by Rose on 2/10/2011
It's not a workout
I bought this for my kids thinking it would encourage them to get up and move. Well, it did - to another room! It's a cute video for Sesame Street lovers, but it's definately no workout. Has some good info on healthy eating and exercise, but it's not what I expected. I would not recommend unless you just want a video for watching, not exercising to. - posted by Bev on 12/7/2007

Don't waste your money
I bought this workout for my 5 year old daughter, and it is not a workout at all. It consists of about a total of 5 minutes of jumping and the rest is informative information about nutritional foods and silliness with the Sesame Street characters. Although she thought is was funny, it does not provide any sort of physical fitness for the kids. - posted by Anne on 1/31/2007
Informative, not aerobic
My four year old daughter and I did this "exercise" video together and found ourselves standing doing nothing for more than half the time of the video. The actual exercising portions of the video only consisted of variations of jumping. While the video was cute, informative, and funny, I wouldn't classify it as an excercise video. - posted by Laura on 4/19/2005
Fun for young children
My 20-month old son loves this video! He is really into Sesame Street and he loves music and dancing, so this is a great pick for my son. Aside from the fun dancing and movement, the Sesame Street characters discuss the importance of eating good healthy foods. - posted by Amy on 3/21/2005
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
