Certified instructor description: Challenging, well-sequenced body-sculpting exercises — the same ones Jackie uses to train her celebrity clients. No fluff here, Jackie maximizes results by working every muscle to its absolute limit (“eventually the muscle will go numb, keep working!”). Each body-part-specific segment features three exercises that are repeated three times. The three exercises work the muscles in different ways; the three sets of repetitions let you progressively increase the intensity. The sequence always ends with a “power circuit” — a faster-paced, linked-together set of the earlier moves. Has a total of five “workouts” — two total-body programs plus three short, muscle-group-targeted “premixes.” Requires 2 to 10 lb. dumbbells. ©2009. DVD has: 3 premixes (15 min. alternate workouts), Region 1.

Personal Training with Jackie: Power Circuit Training

GREAT MUSCLE TONER
I have been exercising on and off for over 25 yrs. Jackie's method of training is excellent for toning muscles without bulking up. Finally, no more sagging arms!! - posted by ANGIE on 5/10/2012
Love it!!
I've been using the same idea of "short but effective" workouts in my own classes and loved how Jackie Warner demonstrated both a lower/modified version as well as walking over to the girl doing the more challenging moves...and makes her work even harder! Great video and worth the purchase! - posted by Kim on 4/27/2012
Excellent workout
You can do each body part separately as a 15 minute circuit or do the whole enchilada for 40 minutes. Its creative, Jackie is fun to watch, she is not annoying at all, and I don't feel like she is talking down to me. If you want more of a challenge you can always increase your weights/resistance. She reminds me a little bit of Jillian Michaels and I like Jillian a lot, so if you are a Jillian fan you might try Jackie. - posted by Alisha on 4/24/2012
Just What I Needed
I have done two of the five workouts on this DVD. I really liked them. It was challenging enough and easy to follow. I got a total body workout. It was just right. - posted by Linda on 4/19/2012
Awesome!
As a busy mom of 4 kids, I don't have time to get to a gym and look for workout DVDs that I can squeeze in while the baby naps. This workout is great whether I have a lot of time or only 15 minutes. I consider myself an "intermediate" level exerciser and prefer the circuit training model. After three weeks of using this video in my rotation, I have been able to progress from 5, to 8, to even 10lb hand weights for some of the exercises. I always feel the "good sore" the day after this workout. I agree with a prior reviewer that the stretch could be longer, but I still went with 5 stars because this video is one of my favorites. - posted by Christine on 4/7/2012
I didn't feel it in my legs at all
This is a good upper body workout (specially for the chest), but that's pretty much it. At first view I thought it would be challenging for my legs, but it wasn't at all. That is a huge disappointment since that's were the major muscle groups are and were one really needs to develop muscle and work in order to raise the heart rate up. I won't be doing this one again, sorry Jackie. - posted by Sofi on 3/17/2012
Powerful Fun Basic Workout
Jackie gives you a great workout with just 2 sets of weights (light and heavy) and a mat. Love it! - posted by Emily on 3/1/2012
Enjoyed, not too difficult
I received went from a beginner level to an intermediate fitness level. I enjoyed Jackie's style of training, the moves were not too complicated nor were they done fast. I like the fact that there is not a lot of up and down, on the floor, off the floor, on the floor again. I tend to get dizzy when constantly getting on and off the floor. This is the first work out dvd which actually made my chest sore. My legs stay sore for a few days. I have only done the 40 min workout. - posted by Crystal on 2/9/2012
Good, Hard Weight Workout
I found Jackie Warner on our free VOD last year and did this workout several times. Well, they've taken it off and once I saw it here I knew I had to have it. This is a great workout. Jackie works out all body parts quickly and efficiently. I like that you move through everything quickly and the Power Burns at the end of each segment really top off the workout. Jackie says "You can do anything for a minute" and she is correct! This workout flies by and the 45 minutes is gone before you get bored. I will be using this one for a long time. - posted by Lynn on 2/2/2012
Full body workout
I like that this video focuses on the entire body. All muscle groups are included in Jackie's toning workout. I also like that I can work all parts of my body in 40 minutes - a great bonus on those days when an hour is not available. Though there is no "cardio", it is circuit training, so it is very fast paced and does provide effect cardio if you work hard and keep moving like she says. - posted by Angie on 1/26/2012

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
