Certified instructor description: Two well-taught workouts: A varied series of multi-muscle exercises and a pure abs program (plus a detailed kettlebell tutorial). These kettlebell-specific exercises will definitely tone and tighten your entire body. The first workout challenges every muscle with progressively intensifying combinations (e.g. you’ll start with a lower-body move, layer-in an upper-body exercise, then add a rotation). The abs program includes “Russian Twists” along with kettlebell versions of roll-ups and planks. One exerciser shows easier modifications. Requires a kettlebell. ©2010. DVD has: Wide screen.

Paul Katami's Kettlebell Kombos

Paul is Great
Of course Paul is great, but I think I like the drills video more. - posted by EAFN on 5/18/2012
This is hard!
Excellent instruction. I'm still doing the introductory session along w/ the core/abs session. the introduction is vital and a good workout on it's own. think it will take another week until I'm confident enough to do the actual workout. - posted by Kate on 2/24/2012
Good but boring
Wish it had a little more of a cardio element from the start. Got harder towards the end, but very dull workout for an experienced athlete. Make sure you have heavy enough kettle bells. Overall, a good demonstration of kettle bell moves to add to your workout library. Once you get the moves down, work them into your own cardio routine and pass the video on to a friend. - posted by Carolyn on 1/5/2012
Love love love Paul Katatmi
Paul is my favorite fitness instructor EVER! This video is great, its quick and it does the job. I was surprisingly sore the next day, and in places I haven't been sore for a while. I like the athletic style of Paul's video's no cutesy frilly stuff just good ole' hard work. I consider myself to be advanced in fitness and this video was a good challenge. - posted by Melinda on 1/2/2012
NEW TO KETTLEBELL WORKOUTS
Wow! I absolutely love this kettlebell workout. I am new to working out with kettlebells, the instructional portion was very helpful and easy to follow. I was sore the next day just doing the instructional clinic. I look forward to adding this dvd to my workout routine. - posted by TANYA on 12/22/2011
My new favorite workout partner!
I've been hooked on Cathe Friedrich for years, and still consider her to be just about the best fitness trainer. But after so many years, and even with a lot of outdoor activity to break it up, I was still looking for something/one a little different. Paul Katami is just perfect for me. He gives very clear explanations and cuing, offers up good total body fitness, and has got me working parts of my body the Cathe videos (apparently) never touched. In addition, he has a very pleasant personality, and never gets annoying, as so many of video instructors do. I eagerly await any new video he puts out, and it will likely be an automatic buy. - posted by Rebecca on 11/7/2011
Hard For Me! Great!!!!
This is a good hard workout!! I am 46 years old and I could still keep up with Paul (barely). His tutorial was very helpful since I am new to the world of Kettlebells!!! I loved it because he also had great ab workouts with the Kettlebell too. Not bad for an old lady like me. Anyone at any age can enjoy his workouts because he does not go too fast and he does use correct form not like one of Jullian Michaels videos where she went too fast and had poor form. Sorry Jullian, but you have better workouts out there in workout land. I will be using Paul Katami's video a lot. - posted by Brenda on 10/20/2011
Learn Perfect Form!
Paul Katami is the Sensei of kettlebell instructors! His is the best demonstration of correct technique I have seen in any video, and throughout the exercises he continues to remind you of proper form. His "kombos" are interesting and use a build-on technique that keep it challenging even after multiple viewings. And although this is labeled as a muscle toning DVD, the combos are pretty aerobic, especially as they progress in complexity. I find his teaching technique to be so great as to be truly inspirational. - posted by Janny on 10/7/2011
Perfection
I'm pretty picky as I am also an instructor. This video is my favorite of the Kettlebell videos. Paul gives a very thorough and necessary Clinic on basic moves in the first track, which you can skip later. Next is the Kombo track, which I love because it adds a little challenge for someone that is used to exercising and choreography. You must know what you are doing before trying the Kombo section because it moves at a good clip. I work from home and I love the convenience of a Kettlebell workout. I also think this style of conditioning is the smartest for everyday life. Also great core work on this. Brilliant, effective and fun. Also kudos to a well-thought out, safe routine. It's not easy coming up with Kettlebell combinations that can be done safely, but Paul makes it look easy. Loved it! - posted by Wendy Bustos on 10/6/2011
Kick Butt Workout
I ordered this DVD after reading the reviews and I am GLAD I did! (I had been doing kettlebells for a few months off and on.) I did my first workout last night after first watching the clinic. I AM SO SORE! The "down time" others refer to is just enough to catch your breath-barely! If you find the down time a waste, perhaps you are not working hard enough. I used a 10 lb. kettlebell and I was dripping with sweat. In some sections, I had to take a longer break because I was so winded. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to challenge their bodies. Excellent job on the the DVD!!!! - posted by Lauren on 9/12/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
