Certified instructor description: Designed for 2 to 5-year-olds, this delightful DVD blends cartoon animals with a real instructor and real kids on a make-believe visit to the zoo. Your child will learn to move like the animals — “jump like a kangaroo,” “pounce like lion,” “soar like an eagle.” Other activities include “find munky,” “animal party” and “freeze dance” (where the kids “freeze” in position when the music stops). It’s fun and very repeat-able — a creative way to get your child up and moving. ©2006. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Move 'n Groove Kids at the Zoo

Great for my 2 year old
This is a really neat video. It is not only educational but really promotes movement. My 2 year old loves it and asks for it all the time. She cries when we have to turn it off! - posted by Elaine on 4/7/2011
Autism
I bought this for my great granddaughter who is autistic and does not exercise much. It was the only one I found that was appropriate. She loves it and watches and exerises several times a day. Her sisters join in and love it also. They all have dress-up time with it. Wish there were more of this type for austic children. - posted by Peggy on 2/17/2011
A Great Way to Work Out the Fidgets on a Winter's Day!
My grandkids really enjoyed this program and my daughter got a break, too! - posted by Stephanie on 2/3/2011
fun
This is a super fun way to get kids active during the winter months! My husband and I even enjoyed doing it with our 2 and 1/2 yr old! - posted by Nicole on 12/30/2010
3yo and 4yo Boys Love this!
This is a great DVD for toddler/preschoolers. It combines animals and dancing. My boys especially love the Freeze Dance finale at the end of the DVD. - posted by Paula on 10/26/2010
Super!
The toddlers enrolled in my day care love this workout. They ask for it every day. I was so pleased to find a workout that was specifically designed for young children and this is perfect. Thank you. - posted by Kathleen on 4/22/2010
just right for my almost-3-yr-old
He watches and moves along with the entire video. The action moves quickly from one thing to the next, which is just right for younger attention spans. Great! - posted by Marianne on 4/8/2010
My 4 year old and her friends love this video
When my daughter was 3 we got her the first Move 'N Groove video and she loved it and learned lots of ways to experiment with moving her body. We just got her the two newer ones and she and her friends love dancing moving along with these too and they've got really neat animations that the kids just love. What I like best about these is that they get the children to move through a wide range of movement while having them learn how to experiment and use their imaginations at the same time. They also introduce lots of creative ideas, facts, vocabulary and even do some basic counting along the way. My daughter almost always likes to dance with them but sometimes just wants to watch. I've noticed not all of her friends take to moving with the videos right away but soon enough they all begin dancing along together. They seem to be very professionally made and well thought out programs and not too long (for a young childs dance/exercise program) like some others we've tried. I highly reccomend this series! - posted by Christine on 7/21/2008
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
