Walking Down Your Blood Sugar
This is a great DVD for our patients with Diabetes who can't afford a gym membership. - posted by Patty on 3/1/2012
Excellent beginner walk for everyone
Yes, you can walk down your blood sugar. This is an excellent video to get you started doing just that. I usually walk 3 or 4 miles with Leslie. But I pop in this video for a good 2 mile walk. It's fun! Certainly worth the price and should be part of your DVD library. Thank you, Collage Video. - posted by Jean on 2/20/2012
Walking For Fun and Your Health
If you haven't got this video yet you are losing out! This is my 2nd one...I wore the first one out! Its not JUST for diabetics though I am one. There is such a remarkable difference in a short time. Almost immediately you feel extra energy as you walk off pounds with Leslie and the cast. Being disabled this is the very best program I have found. I can easily do this program though I have back problems! When I used it the first time I lost 80 pounds in about 9 months! I have already lost around 10 now and I have only been back on the program a month! I use it at least once per day and sometimes twice. Leslie and the cast are the best! The cost is very reasonable (with shipping only $20. and some change!) and so very much worth it! - posted by Sherry on 12/29/2011
Simple but effective
I really like this routine, because it isn't complicated or overly strenuous. I'm "rhythmically challenged," so videos that require complicated moves aren't for me. Sansone's walking moves are actually enjoyable; I find them energizing but not exhausting. The routine does help lower my blood sugar a bit, although it's no substitute for insulin, darn it. Sansone's perkiness isn't my style, so I normally hit the mute button and listen to my favorite music or an interesting radio program instead. - posted by Bonnie on 6/13/2011

A Bit Of A Disappointment To Me
First of all I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Leslie Sansone and WalkAerobics. However, I've recently been diagnosed with Diabetes and since I don't have a clue in the world about the dietics of it I raced to order this video as it seemed she would talk about it and give helpful hints/tips. No. They talk about people who have overcome diabetes by getting in shape with Walkaerobics and losing weight but I was hoping for more. I know Leslie gives eating tips and menus in some videos and I thought that's what I'd be getting here but it wasn't. That said, that was the only "bad" part of the video (cost her one star in the ratings). The workout is FABULOUS!!! And I LOVE how she incorporates one yoga move at the end, just slips it in like we've always been doing it. That was a great tricky move on her part. I didn't know I could do yoga but I could do this pose (it's a variation of a regular part of Leslie's program and I'll keep it secret so you can be surprised when you do it too). If you want diabetes info/help this isn't it. If you want a great inspirational/ motivational video and a super workout this is it! - posted by Susan on 9/3/2010

energetic
easy to follow, entertaining and fun. New to aerobic walking with recent diabetes diagnosis I was pleased to find a beginner's program that seems to be something I can stick with. - posted by Jan on 5/3/2010
Walk down your blood sugar
My Nutritionist gave me the video "Walking down your blood sugar" and I have been blessed by it. So, I decided to bless someone else because it works. Therefore I rate this video a 5. - posted by Sylvia on 3/19/2010
A great addition to my collection!
I have been using Leslie's DVDs for about 2.5 years now and I am hooked! I am 27 yrs old in good health and find this DVD to be a perfect addition to anyone's collection! I used this DVD this morning and got in a really good workout that provided stress relief and sweat! For anyone familiar with Leslie's work, this DVD is more powerful than her other 2 miles like in the Express Series, but less than what you would find with Big burn or 2 Fast Miles. This is great for a day when you want a moderate paced "walk"/aerobic workout without having to do intervals or walk at the pace of "interval walking". The cast has some new faces and the music is great. This is a DVD that is going to get a lot of use with me! There are times when you need a solid 30 minute workout without pouring sweat, but still want a little bit of umph and moderate intensity! Buy this, you will not regret it! - posted by Julia on 6/14/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
