Certified instructor description: Four progressively-more-challenging workouts, each one features a large class and lots of high-energy, Leslie-style motivation. You can start with the easiest one-mile program and gradually advance to the four-mile walk (it’s faster paced with more arm motions). All these workouts use just four basic steps so they’re exceptionally easy to follow. To boost results, and improve upper-body toning, the ending section of each program incorporates an intesity booster (weighted balls in #1, a resistance band in #2 and #3 and just a faster pace in #4). DVD comes with a resistance band; weighted balls or dumbbells are optional. ©2009. Originally released on VHS in 2001 & 2003. DVD has: Region 1.

I Had These Workouts Separately, But I Gave Them Away Over The Years After I Got Leslie's Recent Ones Among Others. Well I Now Have Some Arthritis & I'm Older (65) So These Workouts All In One Are Going To Be Great As I Can Go Slower Or Faster As I Choose Without Popping In Different DVD's. Read The Review Re Segments Being Chaptered So I Can Skip To What I Want....GREAT!!! This Combination Of Choices & The Price, For Me, Can't Be Beat. With Peggy Cappy's Yoga For Arthritis & Jane Fonda's New Tone & Flex, Leslie's Ultimate Collection Will Complete All I Need For Exercising At My Age. I Can't Wait To Receive It And With Collage Shipping It Only Takes A Couple Of Days :-). - posted by Patricia on 4/18/2012
The ultimate fat burning video
This a truly great power walking fat burning video and the stretchie resistance band work fantastic. At least 5 days a week, I workout either with the kettlebell or 3-5 lb. weights using the matrix clock method and 3-5 miles power walk. - posted by DianePatrice on 3/17/2012

Returned
I did return the video as I was looking for a simple walking 1 mile video. - posted by Pam on 2/16/2012
Great video for beginners
This has been a great video to start working out to. I haven't exercised in years and the 1 mile was nice and slow. After a few days, I moved up to two miles and within 3 weeks, I was regularly doing the 3 or 4 mile. I know most people find her group of walkers inspiring but I'm tired of hearing "sisters in sweat" day after day. That being said, I've noticed huge changes already and have dropped 11.5 lbs in 4 weeks. I would recommend this video to anyone needing a slow start but wanting to work up to a little more challenge. By the end of the 3rd and 4th mile, I'm really sweating. - posted by Joni on 1/31/2012
I love this DVD
I did the three mile this morning. It's so much fun and so easy. I was sweating so I know that the workout is effective. I love how easy Leslie is to follow. - posted by Susan on 1/26/2012
Re-released but still lovin' it.
Even though this set has previously released material I still think it's a very good buy. There are still a lot of folks out there that are not familiar with Leslie but can really benefit from the variety and value of this set. Also this is saving me shelf space and because I do a fair amount of traveling I can tell you that these workouts do well when you're on the road, have limited space, or even if you're concerned about disturbing the neighbors (low impact). - posted by Penny G on 1/19/2012
love the walk away the pounds
I bought this dvd set as my 1 mile vcr tape was wearing out. while i was disappointed not to find the original set on dvd, this version is quite adequate. Leslie Sansone's workout programs are always good and you can choose the 1 mile if your not feeling as energetic and the 3 mile if you are ready to really burn those calories. - posted by Sharon on 1/5/2012
It's (almost) all new to me.
I can understand other reviewers' frustration with the fact that these videos are "repackaged" from previous vid's (I'd be angry, too!), but except for the first one miler, I had never seen any of these before, and I really like them because they offer more "brisk" walks than other vid's. I think the use of the stretchie, or firm band, is OK, though when I feel that it's not really giving me a serious toning burn (like the way too easy tricep press move), I will do something else for a few minutes, like jogging in place, kicking, or knee lifts. I like the visually appealing set, the group of walkers, and most of all, the individual 2, 3, and 4 mile workouts because I like continuity rather than having only one video with the option to forward toward the cool down early. - posted by Deedee on 8/9/2011
ULTIMATE COLLECTION
I just bought this DVD a couple months ago. I just love it. The ladies and gentlemen in the DVD are a good age group and gives me incentive to workout. These people are actually what people really look like and they sweat. Love it. All Leslie Sansone DVDs are very real and possible to workout to. Oh, yea the gentleman that is in this DVD is hot. What a nice looking and in shape this man is. WOW. - posted by JUDY RYEN on 6/24/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
