Certified instructor description: An easy-to-do, just-having-fun workout with short “power boosts” designed to maximize your fat-burning results. As always, Leslie is energized, supportive and motivating. But this program feels unusually relaxed and spontaneous (like a real, among-friends class). In fact, the exercises were unrehearsed so there are even a few minor mis-cues (“but don’t worry about right or left, just keep kicking”). You get Leslie’s familiar basics: kicks, marches, step touches and knee lifts. While usually done at a moderate pace, Leslie also adds in some higher intensity “power boost” segments to create the “Big Burn.” ©2009. DVD has: Music only option.

Leslie Sansone's The Big Burn 2 Miles of Intervals

Good short workout
This is a good workout if you don't have a lot of time. It's two fast miles (possibly 2.25 miles as Leslie mentions) and you work up a sweat. There are parts (intervals) of high/medium impact with the "boosted walking." I like this one and feel as though I've worked off some calories when it's over. - posted by Linda on 2/9/2012
FAST FAST FAST!
Best one yet!! If you want to move and feel the burn get this DVD!! Cannot go wrong with any Leslie video!! - posted by Sandy on 11/25/2011
Quick and effective
I love this video for it's fast pace. It gave me a burst of energy without taking much time. I love Leslie's chipper mood. A lot of people complain that she talks too much but that is part of why I keep going back to her workouts!!!! - posted by Lulu on 9/27/2011
Great Workout
Love Leslie's tapes! For a small amount of time invested you can get a great workout. They are easy to follow but they push you to work hard. I always feel much better after my workout. I've let my daughters use the tapes and they liked them so much that they have started ordering their own to keep at their own house. Thank you! - posted by Pam on 8/11/2011
quick, but tough workout!
I have quite a few of Leslie's dvds. This one takes half an hour and a minute or 2 longer; but it gets the job done! I love the bursts; they really bump up the workout, but don't last too long. Good one! - posted by vanessa on 6/20/2011
Fast paced & fun!
I absolutely LOVE this video! I love the fact that the intervals are fast paced and the miles go quickly!! If anything, I would like to see another video with this exact layout (quick paced intervals back to back) but with more miles in the video!! A 4 or 5 mile video like this one would be perfect!! Also, like someone else mentioned, it is great that the video itself starts immediately!! I've done this one back to back some days, I like it that much!! - posted by Kelly on 5/23/2011
Great quick workout
I love this workout with Leslie! I love how down to earth Leslie is and that she is not intimidating at all. Since I am unable to exercise with friends due to scheduling differences, this DVD makes me feel as though I AM exercising with my friends! Leslie and her friends look like they are truly having fun while exercising and what an inspiration that is. This is one exercise DVD that I come back to again and again especially when I only have time for a quick workout. The routine is easy to follow and unlike other reviewers, when the cast/crew make mistakes, it just seems like real life "stuff" happened. - posted by Emily on 4/24/2011
Music only
Like the upbeat music only feature. Have used Leslie's videos many years and am very familiar with the program. - posted by Jill on 3/11/2011
Walk at Home video
I'm thoroughly enjoying this exercise program. I like the fact that it offers a low impact alternative which is important to someone like me with foot problems. - posted by Marilyn on 2/24/2011
Fun!
I'm a 45 year old PT teacher/FT mom and Type 1 diabetic. I was looking for 30 minutes of exercise to break up the bike/elliptical/walking cycle, and this was perfect. It's quick, I can work it into my day, it's fun, and since I'm not always looking for some killer workout, this was perfect for when I need something to do between harder days. Leslie is fun and truly passionate about her program and motivating people to get up and move. I use a pair of 1 1/2 lb. wrist weights to make it a bit more challenging. No complaints, and best of all, I'll keep doing it. I smile when I work out with this DVD, it's like hanging with a friend! - posted by Patty on 2/4/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
