Certified instructor description: Five easy-to-follow indoor “walks.” For maximum motivation and variety, Leslie uses a different technique in each program. Day One is the easiest; it’s a straight-forward mix of Leslie’s four basic steps — kicks, marches, knee lifts and step-touches. The next three workouts incorporate light toning that targets a specific body area: abs, upper body and lower body (e.g. squats during a march to help shape your buttocks). The last series is intense — a pull-out-all-the-stops “speed walking” sequence. This is a one-on-one-with-Leslie workout — her encouraging commentary is totally focused on you (not a big class). Note: All five workouts use the same warm-up and cooldown. DVD also has a “play all” function that provides a challenging, 85-minute, 5-mile workout. ©2008. DVD has: Chapter menus, Wide screen.

Leslie Sansone's 5-Day Slim Down

A wonderful morning wakeup
I really like the variety in this dvd. it is fun and informative and easy to do, and some of the moves feel like dance steps which makes it exciting. i use walking weights to enhance my workout and with the moves leslie does the weights just work so well. i would recommend this dvd to everyone - posted by Jennifer on 5/10/2012
good way to walk
I liked this walking video due to the variety of walks available. Similar to all of Leslie's walks but with enough differences to keep them fresh. - posted by Amy on 5/5/2012
I LOVE IT!!
I have several other Leslie Sansone walks, but this one concentrates on a specific area with each mile. I end up sweaty and winded and I LOVE THAT. This is an awesome workout. You can string along as many miles as you want at one time, or just do one. But I can never do just one. She makes me want to keep going and going. Thank you Leslie for this great addition to my walking collection. - posted by Pam on 3/22/2012
Leslie Sansone 5 Day Slim Down
I liked the video overall. I liked not having all the banter with the other members of the cast (in some of the other videos Sansone has presented, the banter has been annoying). I liked the inclusion of the squats and lunges. As petty as it may sound, I was preturbed that the windows in the background scenes suddenly changed from traffic to a wierd alley or parking lot with an out building. I guess when you have done the dvd enough times- you notice very minor things. I have 5 or 6 of Leslie's dvd's and this one is among my favorites. - posted by Carol on 3/8/2012
5 miles.. Do 1 or do them all, it's up to you
This has quickly become one of my favorite DVD's from Leslie. You can do 1 mile up to 5 with an emphasis on different areas. Before I did this one for the 1st time, I mistakenly thought I wouldn't get a good workout because there are no weights, stretchies or cords used. I was wrong! I do 2-3 miles mixing them up..even repeating the same mile occasionally. I'm a fan of Leslie alone and with a group... Keeps me interested. Try it! - posted by Melanie on 3/3/2012
Great exercise workout
I like this workout because I can actually do all the steps in the workout. - posted by Sandee on 3/1/2012
Good video
Leslie, works you out! My wife and I walk 30 miles week, but it's fl. and flat Leslie's video gives us a 5 mile cardio workout in little more than an hour. Good for time saving and rainy or extra hot days. Definitely not for beginners. - posted by P on 2/23/2012
Leslie is terrific!
I now have several of her dvd's and I just love them! Lesie's workouts can be done mile by mile which is a great option. The steps are easy to do and pretty much the same from dvd to dvd. She has a great personality and in no time I've completed the entire 5 miles. Thank you Leslie!!! I can't wait for a new dvd to come out soon! - posted by Jennifer on 2/21/2012
My New Favorite DVD
This is my favorite exercise dvd! I am just shy of 69 years old and find that Leslie's walking workouts are perfect for me. She is fun to "be with", easy to follow, and inspires me to keep going. I try to get in 4-5 days a week walking with Leslie, so I like that I can mix it up on this one. Walking with Leslie is like walking with a friend. - posted by Sandi on 2/17/2012

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
