Certified instructor description: A solid flexibility/stretch program — mostly “athletic-style” with a few yoga and Pilates elements. The soothing music, spectacular outdoor setting and calm cuing will relax every muscle in your body. The video has two parts. The first is faster-paced with some standing exercises. It’s designed to improve circulation and even provide a “light” toning benefit. The second segment has a slightly slower tempo. It features deeper stretches with an emphasis on breath and open-ness. The outdoor setting is truly gorgeous — a grassy pasture with tall mountains and a bright Montana sky. Tranquil, New Age instrumental music. A yoga strap is optional. ©2010. Eco-friendly packaging. DVD has: Wide screen.

Karen Voight's Full Body Stretch

Peculiar and not as complete as I hoped
I've been deliberating about buying this video due to it's price. I finally took the plunge and am somewhat disappointed. I expected with Karen's years of expertise that she would provide the most comprehensive, thorough, full body stretching routine. I feel much more stretched out after doing a yoga or Ellen Barrett DVD than this. Some of the stretches are awkward and therefore I highly recommend previewing the DVD before performing. Also, some of the stretches are not held long enough. When you finally move into them, she's on to the next. This DVD is probably great for those who have never tried pilates or yoga and want a tiny sampling of some 'similar' stretching ideas. But for the price and duration of the DVD I feel my time is better spent popping in something else. I'll likely be returning this one. =( - posted by Lisa on 5/5/2012
Another Dissenting Opinion
I HATED this workout and yanked it before it was done. I did a bit of the Warm Up Stretch but, rather than relaxing stretches, I felt I needed to be a contortionist. Karen moved way too quickly through the stretches, only holding each for a few seconds. I tried the second section and didn't like that either. Karen was shadowed much of the time and I couldn't see what she was doing. Her voice is not soothing. I expected so much more because I loved her P&SS. I love doing a good stretch DVD because I feel so relaxed and wonderful afterward. After this one, I was crabby, angry and frustrated. I wonder how far this DVD will go if I use it as a Frisbee ??? - posted by Joni O on 4/27/2012
Superb
All around excellence - production quality, Karen's cuing and descriptions, and demonstrations of each move. - posted by Linda on 4/12/2012
best stretch exercise
I love this exercise. This is so far the best stretch DVD I have. Karen's voice is clam and clear in this DVD. The music and scenery are super! - posted by Lily on 3/18/2012
Relaxing
I had Karen's Yoga Stretch on VHS, and was hoping to replace it on DVD but it is not available so I bought this one. I love the stretches and Karen's style, but not as good as the yoga stretch. - posted by ksp on 3/15/2012
Love this DVD
I absolutely enjoy this DVD. Love the stretches, Karen's instructions and music/scenery. I am recuperating from tendonitis in my ankles so this is perfect for it. - posted by Jane on 3/8/2012
Full Body Stretch
This DVD was easy to do- the instructions were clear and the moves flowed. This workout stretch was great. - posted by Maureen on 3/1/2012
Serene and differant
I agree with others that this is a great stretch dvd. The setting is beautiful, the music very Zen and serene and many of the stretches I've never seen or done before. That says alot for someone to be able to bring something new to the table because sometimes I get the feeling I've seen it all before. This was a pleasant surprise. - posted by Carol on 2/19/2012
Perfect
I have used Karen's exercise videos since she began in the business many years ago. This is one of her best. The cuing is perfect. Not only a great stretch but also meditative. 69 years old and still exercising, thanks to Karen! - posted by Donna on 2/18/2012
Wish I could.
I have used Karen Voight's exercise products for years. Unfortunately, after a couple of knee replacements I must avoid kneeling so I can't do this routine because a large portion of the stretches is done on the knees. For people in my predicament I recommend Karen's older "Pure and Simple Stretch" or "Streamline Fitness," both of which are easier on the knee joint. My five-star rating here is for Karen's fully professional approach to and performance of exercising. (My all-time favorite exercise tape is "Your Personal Best" with Karen and supermodel Elle exercising in beautiful Hawaiian surroundings. I wish it were available on DVD.) - posted by Kay on 2/9/2012

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
