Certified instructor description: Two senior-oriented workouts that feature a motivating variety of low-impact aerobic moves. All your 1980’s favorites are here — from step-touches to grapevines, from marches to ponies. You’re sure to burn calories and strengthen your heart (safely and effectively). Jane makes it easy to follow with smooth transitions and simple eight-count choreography. The first program is very beginner. The second is slightly faster-paced with a few more combinations and arm motions. Both end with gentle standing/seated stretches. Jane’s one-on-one instruction is genuine and senior-specific. Instrumental fitness music. ©2010. DVD has: Wide screen, Close captions, Region 1.

Jane Fonda's Prime Time Walk Out

jane fondas prime time walk out
luv it, luv it, luv it. looking at it you may think this isn't all that much of a workout, but then do the work out and your thought changes because this is great. you do get a work out. I add weights to the ankles and wrist which gives me more. I'd recommend this to all of my friends. - posted by marie on 4/5/2012
FUNCTIONAL & FUN
with part 2 you can work up a sweat especially using weights. I combine with the other Jane to make a fairly rigorous workout. - posted by Carol on 3/8/2012
Definitely do-able!
Just getting back from an injury, I decided to try this video. It's quite fast-paced, (like Jane), but I could keep up and the choreography is simple to follow. It's in the pile of favorite videos, all from Collage. - posted by Caroline on 2/16/2012
Jane Fonda's Prime Time Walk Out
I've really enjoyed this workout and do it at least 3 days a week since it arrived. - posted by Phyllis Young on 2/16/2012
Needs some cueing
Just finished the first routine. It is a very easy, slow routine - but totally lacking in cueing. She changes from one move to another without any warning. There is no instruction at the beginning to introduce you to the moves she will use - but if you have done past videos you will recognize them. She does some counting, but never tells how many times she is going to do something before changing to the next move until the end of the routine. - posted by Barbara Bailey on 2/12/2012
disappointed
I bought this DVD for old times' sake. I had her ORIGINAL RECORDS back in the dark ages. I respect Jane Fonda for making exercise accessible way back then, and certainly the moves in this workout are safe, fun, easy to do. Still I found this DVD appallingly amateurish. The cuing is non-existent. The music is worse than elevator muzak. I am 63+ years old, so I am not a hot-young-thing looking for MusicVideo production values. My first thought: "Jane, it's time to retire gracefully." Plus: what about the DISTORTED CAMERA WORK: sure that it made Jane tall and thin but the set started looking a little surreal.....I put this one right in the give-away-pile. - posted by Bertha on 2/11/2012
Jane Fonda still the best
this workout is great for older women, I liked jane fonda years ago and her work out tapes are still getting the job done. - posted by nan on 1/13/2012
A valuable addition for those who like to vary their workouts
The first routine is extremely simple, and is not of great use for those who have been working out for sometime. The second is better, and is great fun--Jane and her "workout pals" offer a really enjoyable 20 minutes. I'm 77, and I've been working out regularly for 17 years, and while I have found other exercise DVDs to be helpful, no one makes it as much fun as Jane. - posted by victoria on 1/13/2012
Happy
Im 66 and work out three times a week @ the senior center but I wanted to work out the rest of the week also so I seen Jane Fonda's DVD's and decided to purchase one .. well once I checked it out it was GREAT it was low impact for my age so I order the other three DVD's anyone that want to keep their body moving order these DVD's ..bonus they come within 2 or 3 days so you can get started right away ....Thanks Jane Love, Love, Love these DVD's - posted by Frances on 1/5/2012
Friendly and very basic
Enjoyed Jane's down-to-earth friendly attitude. Her approach to exercise is easy and non-intimidating. This is great for someone starting exercising who has not been active. I liked the pace which kept me going (even on days when I did not feel like walking). - posted by Denise on 1/1/2012

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Specialty: Seniors
X
Workouts especially designed for older exercisers (e.g. featuring seniors participants or older music styles). They may include all three basic exercise types: aerobics, toning and stretch.
