Certified instructor description: This two-DVD set features a varied mix of exercises and techniques. Gilad’s straight-forward cuing is both friendly and effective — he always lets you know what to do and why (e.g. “now watch what happens as we bend …”). Both DVDs are divided into 8 to 10-minute segments; each one targets a specific area or uses a specific workout style. The first program is all muscle toning. Get a good workout fast!

Gilad does it again
I was doing Gilad on demand, but his workouts are no longer available. All my home copies are VHS so I got this DVD. Love it because I can do it all the way through or just the areas I want to focus on. Love it and I'm seeing major results. - posted by Bar on 3/22/2012
Very good!
Nothing fancy-no difficult moves---just good standard effective workout. What I like is that I can build my own workout each time. If I am short on time I can do just a few workouts or I can do them all if I have the time. Gilad is great on cueing and he really knows his stuff. He's very easy on the eyes too. I also like the idea of switching off on weights depending on my strength that day. Non-intimidating workout. Another very good workout from Gilad. Fun effective workout
I love Gilad's dvd. It works the whole body . The scenery is breathtaking and makes you forget about working out. The only thing I would change is more repetition and some more moves from his total body tv show. It is a fun workout and goes by quickly. Excellent
I'm 53 and I needed some variety and something specific for my back and abs. This collection is perfect for time-effectiveness. It is also not too difficult. I believe I'll get good results from this collection. Also, it was a GREAT price for two DVD's and all the workouts included. I'm extremely pleased with this selection. A great value! This is a great weight loss tool!
I bought this video then let it sit on my shelf for many months. I then decided to dust it off and use it! It had been many years since I had worked out, so I was truly a beginner. I love that it is short segments that I can easily squeeze in my day. I am a busy homeschooling, stay at home Mom (age 39), with 5 children still living at home, and had a baby a year ago. Time is a huge factor, and I am able to fit these workouts in when baby is napping, or playing quietly. Gilad's cueing is super easy to follow, and he explains things well. A workout my hubby can do!
I got this DVD for my husband to add to his exercise routine. He is not coordinated enough for most aerobics routines, so I really wanted something with basic choreography. He's had the DVD for three weeks now and is very glad I got it for him. - posted by Ginny on 1/28/2011
Versatile!
This workout has limitless exercise options. It is great for beginners, but advanced workout people can modify to use it effectively also. Gilad is a wonderful instructor with excellent cuing, great personality, and some different exercises to tweak your body. I think everyone should have this DVD set in their collection. There is an aerobic DVD and a sculpting DVD and the format allows for many different exercise options. There are no excuses! - posted by Karen on 11/21/2010

Reading a Time Graph

Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Level

Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact

Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography

Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis

Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning

Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
