No warm-up
Am I missing something here? Am I the only one who is missing a bit more of a warm up? Seems like they jump right into the exercises. Other than that it's okay. - posted by Judy on 5/7/2012
love this!!
Wasn't sure if this dvd would be for me, but I've fallen in love with it. Sort of a combination of weights, pilates and yoga. Has nice variation/overall effective weight circuit for upper body with a couple of intense abs circuits using the resistance band that comes with the dvd. I've noticed a real difference in my core muscles after about a month of daily morning workouts with this one. Like many others, you can choose to "play all" or just one circuit. The background music can also be muted, as can the narration. And the "bonus" yoga routine is neat as well. The couple doing the instructing may seem a bit hoky, but boy they offer a very intense, effective routine without the "hyper perkiness" that often seems to be the theme in other dvds IMO. - posted by patty on 4/12/2012
Good video
I like this DVD. The first two arms sections are great. I really feel like I get a solid arm workout with these two sections. The third ab section is good too although I don't feel that it is as effective as the arm section. I haven't tried the other section(s) yet. Each section begins with a quick warm up and when I'm doing a few sections together, I wish I didn't have to do a warm up at the beginning of each section. But I do like the workout and will continue to use it. - posted by Heather on 3/22/2012
Didn't love this
I found the workouts in this DVD to be very challenging... maybe overly so but I did not love it. I get that the DVD is created to be done either in segments or all together but re-doing a warm up every 10 min. when I did the whole thing I found to be a waste of time and repetitive. In the future I will only use this video for it's short clips. - posted by Andrea on 3/31/2011
Very surprised!
I keep hearing about this series, but the instructors seemed too gentle and relaxed to lead a tough workout(yes, I am used to Jillian Michaels), especially since the workouts are so short. I am happy to say I was 100% wrong -- these are challenging and you definitely get an effective session, regardless of how brief they are. I plan on using this regularly, especially to supplement my DVDs that don't have enough emphasis on the areas this one focuses on. - posted by Anne on 2/24/2011
Core Fusion
This is a good video. It's nice that a band is included. However, it is an intermediate to advanced video with a lack of direction. - posted by Pamela on 2/17/2011
My favorite Core Fusion workout
I have all the Core Fusion DVDs but this one remains my favorite. It's one I can count on to really work my abs and arms. - posted by Dee on 12/27/2010
Re-energizing workout
I've done the arm sections of this workout, and I liked it very much. It's good for a day when I don't want to lift heavy weights but want to tone. - posted by Barbara on 12/7/2010
a nice change of pace!
Tired of the same arm machines at the gym, and doing the same crunches and planks day after day, I was looking for something totally different but effective and I'm so glad I picked this up! It really is a great arms and abs workout and I love working my arms and abs. I love that this DVD focuses on light weights and lots of reps, and really hitting the shoulders, biceps and triceps with different exercises. I also love Fred and Liz's mellow yet encouraging style of teaching which is surprising because I am also a huge Jillian M fan (and she's quite the demanding one). The abs portion is really hard, but there's not a single crunch. Lots of ab holds and isometric training and I found towards the end my back started to hurt but perhaps that's a sign of my poor core strength. In which case, I must stick with this tape! I've been doing this every other day for a week and I already noticed my arms getting leaner and tighter. - posted by Jill on 10/9/2010
Great workout!
I own all the Squeeze, Lotte Berk, and Fluidity videos and was worried this would be too similar a product. I am pleased to report that Core Fusion is in a class all on it's own! This is a great arm workout- I love the weight section but the band section is actually pretty challenging! My shoulders are still tired three hours later. The core work is very challenging but not to difficult to perform. I love the energy between Fred and Elizabeth. They are warm and funny and great at cueing. I am excited to try all their other DVDs! - posted by Alison on 8/11/2010

Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
