Denise Austin's Fit & Firm Pregnancy |
    good dvd |
| Only in the beginning of my pregnancy but I think this dvd will be great for the duration of my pregnancy. I would recommend this video for anyone who doesn't exercise regularly. - posted by Susie on 9/30/2010 |

    Not challenging |
| I bought this workout when I reached about the 5 month mark of my pregnancy and previous to that I had been doing intermediate-level workouts. It was REALLY easy and didn't challenge me at all. Plus I personally found Denise annoyingly perky and sugary, but I've never done her workouts before so maybe it is just her personality. Or maybe the pregnancy hormones made me cranky. Either way, I hope to find something else for my next pregnancy. - posted by Amie on 8/8/2010 |

    Only for ABSOLUTE beginners |
| This would be suitable for someone who prior to pregnancy had never worked out a day in her life. The cardio did not get my heart rate up AT ALL and the toning would not be enough to maintain my current fitness. I am five months pregnant and have worked out pretty consistently throughout this pregnancy (nausea permitting) and though I have had to slow down considerably compared to my pre-pregnancy regime, I will never waste my time using this again. Additionally, it irritates me that the warm up is included on both the cardio and toning portions of the workout. This isn't for someone with any level of fitness. I don't mind Denise, she is very encouraging. - posted by Melissa on 7/5/2010 |

    Over the top |
| Denise Austen is aggressively cheerful, and frankly hard to take. The "breathing and core awareness" section is pretty much nothing. I liked the "cardio workout" and "1st & 2nd trimester toning" portions, but am not as keen on the "3rd trimester toning" section; too many awkward transitions from one position to the next (balance is an issue at this stage!) and distracting errors made by the participants. Overall, I think that Leisa Hart's "Fitmama" prenatal workout is a more comprehensive and thoughtful workout for my money. - posted by Tammy on 6/24/2010 |

    Favorite Pregnancy Workout |
| I absolutely love this workout. It has been my go to workout since I got a positive pregnancy test and the fatigue set in. I do the cardio segment the most, but the 2nd trimester toning has helped keep my triceps from falling down to my knees. The segments are just long enough to give me a nice mood boost without leaving me overly tired. The DVD is also programmable, a good feature. - posted by f1mom on 6/21/2010 |

    Love This Workout! |
| It's simple, to the point and effective. Like a few others here, I worked out at an intermediate/advanced level before I found out I was pregnant, and once the positive test came in, found myself barely able to walk the dog. It's just long enough to get me happy and full of endorphins, but not so long that I'm overly tired or nauseated. The toning portion is quick and easy, just enough to keep me from reverting to flab, not so much that I'm too tired. I use 5 lb. weights and it's just enough. Denise is motivating and just perky enough without being annoying. - posted by Hippie on 5/14/2010 |

Good toning section, cardio too easy for non-beginners |
| The cardio here was way too basic and barely got my heart rate up. But I'm only in the 2nd trimester, this could be great when you're in the 3rd trimester. The toning section was better and had some decent exercises, but was also a bit easy. All in all, wondering if this is better served as a 3rd trimester only video for any non-beginners. If you're a beginner just trying to keep moving, this'd probably do the trick. I didn't find Denise or her comments annoying at all. - posted by Hope on 5/2/2010 |

    It's Interesting |
| I am doing this as part of my PE program at school. I like it. It's an intense cardio workout without overdoing it. I took the video home to do it at home. - posted by Sydney on 4/2/2010 |

    Good Video |
| I worked out daily before I was pregnant. I had some medical concerns during my first trimester and had to have surgery at the beginning of my second trimester. Therefore, I was not able to work out until the middle of my second trimester. This video was a great way to ease me back into working out. I would highly recommend this video especially for those who are not huge into working out. It may be too easy for those who are already in shape. I usually do the Firm videos and have only used a few of Denise Austin's videos. I like her personality. To me she is motivating and just my style. Overall, this video gives me the energy I need during my pregnancy. It has helped me maintain my weight and strength. I would highly recommend it!!! - posted by Katie on 1/27/2010 |

nice pace and make you feel good |
| this is a short, relatively easy workout. denise is peppy as always, but she says things that make you feel good about being pregnant and doing something good for yourself! i usually wish i could do her videos on mute, but i appreciate her attitude in this one. (could be the hormones, but her comments do make me feel special!) the only reason i do not give it a 5 is that you have to watch all the dire warnings in the beginning, and it could have been a bit more challenging. it is quite an easy workout. but i just save it for my lower-energy days and i feel great afterward. - posted by susanne on 1/21/2010 |
