Certified instructor description: Seven different lower-body toning segments — each one features a distinct technique, style or piece of equipment. The DVD lets you play them separately or program any section to play in any order. The variety is amazing. The workouts include both standing and floor exercises. They range from traditional crunches and curls to Pilates and core routines. Some segments target the entire lower body while others focus on a specific muscle group (e.g. inner thighs). As always, Denise is cheerful, supportive and enthusiastic. Five sections use no equipment; one requires a resistance band and one requires a stability ball (with optional dumbbells). ©2009. Reedited from programs originally released in 2004-2006. DVD has: Programmable chapters, Music only option, Close captions, Region 1.

Denise Austin's Best Bun & Leg Shapers

Beginner Video
Good video for starting out but haven't seen much results. Easy and quick. Fun to do. - posted by Michelle on 4/12/2012
really like this video
exercises are fast, fun, fairly easy, effective and different. I would recommend this video to my friends. - posted by Melinda on 7/11/2011
This workout lives up to its reviews
I love the fact that you can pick exactly which workout you want to do on any given day. Denise Austin is great at explaining the correct form that you should have so you never get discouraged wondering whether you are doing the exercises correct or not. Also, the workouts are not so fast that a beginner (like me) can't keep up. I highly recommend it. - posted by Dana on 5/12/2011
Somehow it works
This is a compilation DVD from 6 other formerly released DVDs. I'm not a fan of Denise's workouts, but for some reason I like this one. Put together like this, where you can choose a few at a time, it really targets the lower body. Strangely, she didn't annoy me like she normally does. I think, doing lower body routines is actually her best skill. So taken away from the original workouts and putting them all together does work well. Who knew? - posted by holly on 9/28/2010
Bun & Leg
Enjoy Denise Austin's workouts. For the most part they are easy to follow and you feel like the results are happening! I will continue this workout and mix it up with others. I workout 6 days a week and try just about everything. - posted by Peggy on 5/15/2010
Denise always comes through
Denise has chosen some excellent lower body routines and she can always be counted on to give an enthusiastic workout. I found it somewhat challenging, but doable and pleasant at the same time. While it may not rank up there with my favorites, like Tracy's Squeeze, we'll use it a couple of times monthly. Thanks Denise. - posted by Shila on 4/15/2010
Variety
I use this DVD as an add-on to cardio. It has nice variety and good toning exercises for the buns and legs. I didn't give it 5 stars because Denise does get on my nerves at times. She is a little too encouraging, like she is speaking to a group of children. I would have enjoyed the DVD better if she would have paid more attention to the number of reps and discussed muscle groups and proper body position. - posted by Anna on 1/27/2010
Okay
The exercises in this DVD are pretty good, I just have a problem with Denise and her non-stop talking. She doesn't cue or talk about proper body form much, just rambles on about getting "strong legs," "toned legs," "sexy lean legs." The woman never takes a breath!! There is an option to only listen to the music and not to Denise's voice, which I will admit is a bonus, but the music is too low. - posted by Marissa on 1/8/2010
Pretty Good!!
I am not a fan of the "10 Minute Solution" DVDs, mostly because there is always at least two of the sections that I do not care for. I was worried that this workout would be similar, but I was wrong. All of the workouts in this collection are good. They target the exact area you want to work, and there are plenty of workouts to choose from. The beach/resort settings are wonderful too! - posted by Leeah on 12/7/2009
Top notch program
This is one of the best lower body dvd's out there. I was definitely sore the next day, which rarely happens. It's difficult to find a program that really works the glutes, this one delivers. I especially liked the pilates sections. Denise is a motivating instructor, which is great for morning workouts. - posted by Emily on 10/11/2009
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.
sample time graph
Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Programmable chapters
X
At the beginning of your workout, you can select the exact segments you want to play that day. The DVD will then play all those segments in the order you chose.
