Certified instructor description: An energetic series of fun (and sexy) dance moves led by a two-time “Dancing with the Stars” champion, Julianne Hough. You’ll burn lots of fat with super-varied dances — from classics like box steps and “three step turns” to innovative moves like “the snake” and “flapping bird wings.” Julianne’s add-on teaching style makes it easy. She begins with a single dance step and marching-style “fillers.” Then, she adds more choreography and drops the fillers until it’s pure dance delight (but you can always stick with the basic marches if you’re not quite ready). Friendly, non-intimidating cuing with lots of modifiers and options. DVD also includes an eight-minute dance step tutorial. ©2010. DVD has: Wide screen, Region 1.

Dance with Julianne: Just Dance!

I love this dance DVD!
This is one of my favorite exercise DVD's. Usually the dance DVD's leave me feeling like I didn't really get a workout, but this one was great. I love that the moves are new and different--not your typical aerobics class. It is fun to try to learn some new dance steps, and Julieanne is a very good instructor. - posted by Pam on 12/11/2011
Not for a workout
I had to return this video after injuring my back doing it. Even with the separate instruction piece (and I have a very varied dance background), the moves are not explained well, and therefore it's easy to get lost during the actual "workout." It essentially is a dance routine, and not a structured workout, because Julianne doesn't vary which side is worked. You walk away feeling lopsided! While I don't mind fancy camera work later during a DVD, here they happen throughout, even in the beginning, adding to further confusion about the steps. There are so many better videos available that offer a very fun dance basis, but also are a healthy, correct, and vigorous cardio workout. - posted by BethAnne on 8/12/2011
Really Fun Dance Workout
I could feel the toning going on in my abs, legs and arms as I danced with this DVD. I enjoyed the movements and the aerobic workout. The only drawback for me was Julianne Hough's voice which was a distraction for me. - posted by Mary on 4/5/2011
really fun!

I'm a Dancer and this is my music video!
Love love LOVED this workout! I found it challenging yet doable and had a blast dancing. Got a good cardio workout in, definitely broke a sweat and the best part was I didn't even feel like I was "exercising." The time flew by so fast, I wanted to do the workout again, so I did! Great workout, I hope Julianne will make more like this. 2 thumbs up! - posted by Nicole on 2/13/2011
Boring!
I was really looking forward to this workout being released as I loved Cardio Ballroom, which is a great workout and fun. Have only done this one once as it's actually quite dull. It did not get my heart rate up and felt like a waste of getting up an hour early to do it! - posted by Julie on 2/12/2011
I loved this video
I enjoyed Julianne's cardio ballroom workout, but I think I liked this one better. This may sound strange, but I think my skin got a good workout too. I could feel the heat in my face, and it felt like it was doing something good for my skin as well as for my body. I also liked the dance moves. - posted by Kirsten on 1/30/2011
A Dancer's Workout <3
Gotta say I was pleasantly surprised by this one. You get out of it what you put into it, as with anything in life. If your heart is in the dance, YOU WILL SWEAT, especially if you drill it over and over. Julianne does break it down well, however, if dance is not your passion and/or you lack coordination, you may be somewhat frustrated with this workout at first. But don't give up, practice practice practice and you'll get it. Also, you need to be able to let go and have fun with this, it's very high energy and flirty. A definite confidence builder once you learn the dances. Great job, Julianne! I LOVE this workout!!<3 - posted by Jannelle on 1/15/2011
Love it
I just got this today and did it for the first time. I absolutely LOVE it. I actually like it even better than her Ballroom Dance one, which I also like a great deal. I was too busy concentrating on the workout itself to notice what she was saying, etc. The moves aren't overly sexy in my opinion and I felt my heartrate going up and worked up a sweat. I'm a high intermediate to low advanced exerciser. Over all I think this was worth the money. It'll be one I do frequently. - posted by Marcie on 1/6/2011
Disappointed
I ended up returning this video. I liked the first routine because I found it different and fun but not the other two. What I didn't like is that 2 of the routines she didn't switch and repeat the routine on the other side. I also had a problem with the camera work which make me return it. It was constantly focused on her waist up and forget about watching the girl who was doing the modifications she was rarely in any of the shots. - posted by Laura on 12/10/2010

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
