Certified instructor description: A solid fat-burner powered by Julianne Hough’s contagious energy and proven “Dancing with the Stars” teaching expertise. She makes it easy to learn the moves, have fun and shape up. Julianne begins each dance with the basic patterns plus some “filler” steps (to help with the transitions). Then, she slowly drops the fillers and guides you into full-fledged dance sequences. You get three distinct dance styles: Sexy cha chas with lots of hip and waist moves. Fast-paced Jive that really gets your heart rate up. And Paso Doble that focuses on strength, control and power. The DVD also includes a well-taught, 11-minute dance tutorial. ©2009. DVD has: Chapter menus, Wide screen, Region 1.

Dance with Julianne: Cardio Ballroom

Tricky footwork but good workout
This is a little hard to follow as far as Julianne's footwork, but even if you don't get it totally you still get a good workout. But if you like easy-to-follow instructors, this one may not be for you. - posted by Julianne on 12/9/2011
So Much Fun!
This video is a cute fun way to shed the weight! I thought I was pretty good for working out but with these dance moves it definitely showed me that dancing is a whole new level! building up and completing this workout makes you feel great and your having so much fun doing it! - posted by Lynne on 8/15/2011
Sexy and Energy
What a fun way to sweat in a very sexy way. Love it!! - posted by Ester on 6/9/2011
Fun, Good Cardio Workout
Although advanced at one point, I am now returning to working out after quite some time off. I also have a dance background. With that said, I enjoyed this video and got a good cardio workout. Not a lot of toning, stretch or flexibility. I found Julie pleasant and very easy to follow. I watched the tutorial before trying the workout and perhaps that is the reason that I had no trouble following the steps at all. For those that like dance videos, provided you are not looking for something that is advanced, I can highly recommend this one. - posted by Cheryl on 5/1/2011

Unimpressed
I probably own 50-60 videos - I found this one difficult to follow and not a good workout. - posted by Takoma on 1/3/2011
I tried...
This video frustrated me so much! I tried very hard to give it a second and third chance but Julianne's instructions aren't easy to follow. I've done dance workouts before but this was just more frustration than a workout. - posted by Susan on 12/28/2010
Fun but too short
I had so much fun dancing with Julianne, but unfortunatly this CD was way to short for me. Usually dance video's are too easy and boring but this one was fun. I could also so how a person could lose weight or at least get in shape working out to her moves. Keep up the good work Julianne, but please make the workout longer. - posted by Margo on 12/23/2010

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
