Certified instructor description: A fun little fat-burner with three distinct hip hop styles: old school, sexy-smooth and world-beat. Poppin’ and dippin’ … shakin’ and jumpin’ — you’re burning calories as you work your midsection. The entire program has a party atmosphere — these girls are definitely having fun. Jennifer Galardi begins with hip hop classics like “butterfly” and “throw down.” Then it’s a sassy series of hip rolls, “slithers” and “catwalks.” You’ll end with a high-energy blend of Latin and Bollywood style moves. Jennifer’s straight-forward instruction includes some great visual cues (e.g. “move like spaghetti”). DVD has a 15-minute hip hop dance tutorial. All instrumental music (no vocals). ©2007. Dance Off the Inches: Hip Hop Party

A fun way to get the heart pounding
This DVD workout is very fun. I gave it 4 stars only because I love her Cardio Hip Hop DVD more. Jennifer is a great instructor -- fun, cute, not annoying, not demeaning (haha). Believe it or not, I've learned some fun moves that I've taken to wedding receptions and other dance parties. I'm 40 and I out-danced all the 20-30 somethings out there! - posted by Karolyn on 5/3/2012
Fun Fresh and not too Fancy
Just turned 63 and my mindset is like I'm in my 40's. I have been into exercise on/off most of my life. Jennifer keeps you young and is a wonderful change-up from 'oldies' tape and dvd cardio collection. It has 7 chapters: including Basic, Sexy Smooth and World (Latin) routines. Hip Hop Party gets you to appreciate and respect dancing professionals - and learning the 10 dance moves is great for the memory! - posted by Christine on 3/8/2012
So much fun!
It's hard to find a cardio workout these days that doesn't involve a lot of high impact. This workout is so much fun, you really don't feel like you're "working out", but it will get your heart rate up! Love Jennifer Galardi! - posted by Tracey on 3/8/2012
Great choreography!
I liked the choreography and the music. It kept me moving through the whole session. I can dance and I am very particular about the moves that I do for fun or exercise. It wasn't the usual aerobic moves that some DVDs have that are called dance moves. They were real dance moves. It's fun and easy to groove to the music and moves. - posted by Rachel on 2/6/2012
PERFECT
I go to hip-hop dance events and in addition to what I pick up on the floor, I wanted to learn new moves. I looked all over the web and no one really gave good reviews to the ones by the dancers: usually they went too fast and you had to constantly rewind and chapters weren't designated. I also workout regularly. This, unexpectedly fulfilled both: learning new moves, and doing a great aerobic workout that flies by because I'm really enjoying myself. Jennifer breaks them down too which was great for a few moves I knew I wanted but couldn't quite grasp how they were done by sight alone and not spending that much time with other dancers. And ya can't beat the price. Arrived quickly, and I do this one more than my other aerobics now, and went dancing and had a blast incorporating my new moves . . . gonna probably get more of hers - her female posse is cool too. I luv dancing with the ladies in my home: party time! - posted by Gardenia on 2/5/2012
Hard on the Joints
I like this DVD but it's going to take some time to be able to do the whole workout. It bothers my joints some. I am 50yrs. old and deal with joint pain, back and neck pain. I've been very successful doing other workouts but this one is going to take more time. I like the instructor she does break it down to where you can get it. - posted by Sherry on 1/3/2012
Very Good
I liked this video. It was not hard to keep up and I felt I got a good workout. The steps were fun and the time goes by fast. - posted by Jeanne on 12/29/2011
A bit too much - for now
Like this video, like the instructor but it's too hard. It's hard on my joints. Hopefully, in time I will be able to do it. I've been working out 5-6 days a week with Leslie Sansone for years but this one is going to take some time. Love Jennifer's instructions. I do like this video though and it's fun. - posted by Sherry on 12/15/2011
Dancing is the fun way to lose weight
This is a good video, but its more intermediate than beginner. You need to have some good balance and natural talent already to get the most out of this tool. - posted by Vicki on 11/9/2011
Super fun!
This was a great video. The dance steps were taught well and were just enough of a challenge to make it really satisfying when you get them down pat. Great workout, too! - posted by Jenn on 10/27/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
