Certified instructor description: A high-energy workout that combines classic aerobics with the sensuous excitement of Latin dance. You won’t master specific Latin dance steps; you will burn fat and have fun (“make it your own; play with it; add the hips, make it sexy …”). Jennifer Galardi uses traditional “add-on” teaching. She begins with a basic aerobic pattern and then gradually blends in the Latin flavor (e.g. a step-touch that smoothly evolves into a fluid mambo/merengue sequence). Youthful, vibrant class with motivating, move-your-feet music. ©2008. DVD has: Close captions, Region 1.

Crunch: Latin Rhythms - Fat Blasting Dance

fun!
I can keep up with this one even though I haven't done any zumba or similar dancing exercise. - posted by angela on 5/10/2012
I can't wait until I can get the moves down!
I love Jennifer Galardi and all of her DVDs. This one, though, is the coolest. Once I get these moves down, I know I'll be unstoppable on the dance floor! Jennifer's instruction is great -- she's cute and fun. Just like her other dance DVD workouts, this is a fun way to get the heart pounding. I highly recommend this and all of her DVD's. I'm 40 with minimal dance experience -- if I can do it, anyone can! I'm a runner, and these dance DVD's give other muscle groups a chance to get worked. - posted by Karolyn on 5/3/2012
Excercise that's FUN
I love to dance, so The Latin Rythms - Fat Blasting Dance is loads of fun. The length of the DVD is great, you get a good workout without having to put in an hour's work. I can complete Latin Rythms and move on to another routine. Following the steps was a little difficult at first, but after a couple of times, it was easy to follow along. So don't give up if you can't keep up the first time, it will come. I began seeing results in one week. Definitely a good buy! - posted by Shari on 3/8/2012
Lots of Fun
This workout is fun to do and easy to modify to make it more or less difficult. - posted by Ann-Marie on 2/22/2012
Short But You'll Sweat
If you don't have much time to workout for the day, this dance video will give you a total workout in short time. Working your abs the fun way.. - posted by Ester on 11/22/2010
Most fun dance
Love this workout - extremely dance-y, working core and legs, amazing music. Love Jennifer Galardi, she's excellent with cues, very natural and fun. Hard enough choreography to be a challenge, but doable. I've probably done this one a dozen times already. Great choice! - posted by Joan Burke on 10/3/2010
Just couldn't get into this video
I did this workout for a few months, but the instructors personality just seemed so phony & annoying. This was the 1st video I did after getting used to Boot Camp Training with Sue Hitzman. She is such a natural & so much fun, I just wanted to gag everyone time I did the video with Jennifer Galardi. Sue is a tough act to follow! To be fair, the dance moves are fine and it's a good workout. Just not for me. I ended up giving the video to one of my work colleagues who said she liked it. - posted by Jackie on 4/5/2010
Pass!
I was disappointed when I saw the new Crunch video featured Jennifer. I like some of her videos, but she tries to cram too much into each dance and as a result it's hard to get the heart rate up. I really disliked her first Crunch video immensly--her worst video. I liked Crunch's other two or three "Latin videos" though, so I wish they had used one of those instructors (Gloria, Giselle) for this new video. Anyway, this is better than Jennifer's first Crunch video, but it's just OK. Get Crunch Fat Burning Blast or one of the other Latin themed videos instead! - posted by Robin K on 1/29/2009
great fun: but not easy
This is an excellent DVD from a wonderful instructor. However, I think the choreography should be listed as 'moderate'. I worked up quite a sweat: as an intermediate-advanced exerciser with lots of experience. The music is absolutely wonderful, matches the moves perfectly. I enjoy the Crunch wacky costumes; the exercise 'class' participants are really more like dancers in a broadway musical. I had to modify a few moves that were not easy on a carpeted surface. This is a great DVD for anyone who likes a good dance challenge. - posted by Bertha on 1/8/2009
More Fun from Jennifer
I had pre ordered this video specifically due to Jenn, whose videos I love. No, it is not the most intense Crunch video, but I am coming back from some time away from regular workouts, so it was nice to be able to get through the entire thing. The moves are fun and the music really works here, you just keep dancing. I didn't notice any more whooping than usual from the cast, and in fact, they seem more subdued, just smiling and having a good time; there's even a guy in the back enjoying himself. I was disappointed that this seems like the first Crunch video that is not chaptered, if you wanted to skip something you would have to fast forward. It's unusual, were they in a hurry to put this one out? Nevertheless, you will enjoy this for a lighter day but still get a good workout and have some fun. - posted by Cathy on 10/19/2008

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
