Certified instructor description: An unusually “active” approach to toning, it’s an effective mix of both standing and floor exercises. Designed to work your abs from every possible direction, it also tones your legs (and even provides a “lite” cardio benefit). The fast-paced standing segment integrates lower-body squats within the complementary ab-focused core moves (e.g. twists, side bends, standing oblique crunches). The floorwork features proven classics like crunches, curls and side planks. Bright, high-energy set and a very upbeat/motivating class. ©2005. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Crunch: Fat Burning Ab Attack

Energetic and fun
Cruch: Fat Burning Ab Attack is a great mixture of floor and mat work. Although I would have liked to see a little more variety with the floor routine, I found it to be energetic and fun. The mat work is the best part of the DVD and proved to be a nice challenge for me (someone getting back into exercise after a few months away). The instructor, Catherine Chiarelli, is encouraging without being overly perky, and I found her cueing to be pretty clear. This is a perfect selection for those with small work out spaces. - posted by Nancybot on 5/13/2012
Does work the abs!
I like this one. Just enough workout on "off" days when not lifting weights or using aerobic machines. - posted by Brenda on 3/30/2012
Love, Love, Love
I absolutely love this video. I started watching it right after I had my baby and let me tell you it is the best video I seen so far. I would say if you are more advanced then you might choose another video. Being a beginner like myself you would love it. The video has easy to follow moves that can really get you in shape and after the short 30 min workout you feel the burn. I would recommend this video to everyone because it really does work... - posted by Ambre on 2/20/2012
liked it
this is a pretty easy workout- though I enjoyed doing it- it was fun & you do work your abs- I have been exercising with a friend & she is still a beginner- & when we did this workout - coupled with some other lower & upper body workouts- she said this was the best one yet- she really enjoyed it. It is good for a short light workout day. - posted by donna on 2/17/2012
Just OK
I had high hopes for this one, but was really disappointed. It's boring and doesn't have much variety. Each move is done over and over again..I just wanted to stop and forward the dvd...the floor work is effective, and probably the least boring. - posted by Joanna on 12/22/2011
Fun, Energetic, Concise
This is an excellent workout and really efficient! When you're crunched for time, or tired of crunches, or both, this workout gets you moving, breaks a sweat, works the abs. Catherine is fun and not annoying! My teenage daughter and I like to do this one together. Recommended for all! - posted by Susan on 12/15/2011
Awesome Workout
I love it, I love it, I love it! I am an experienced fitness lover. I have my ups and downs during my long life. Last three years I have had my downs and have gained many extra pounds. Right now I am determined to become fit again. I have picked FAT BURNING AB ATTACK and it is working. THANK YOU to you Catherine. You! Dear people, before you start to critics, please, ANALYZE! I LOVE YOU ALL! Merry Christmas! Happy Birthday JESUS, our Lord. - posted by Ykpaincke Divcha on 12/14/2011
It fits It's Title!
I have been a Jazzercise instructor for seven years now and I have been doing this video AB Attack for five weeks three times a week. I give it a 10 because it is a perfect amount of time, not too long, not too short. It has standing abs and floor abs. All target the abs and I definitely feel it during each workout. The instructor is cute and cues great. I have recommended it to my Jazzercise students for the perfect addition to our exercise program! Well done! - posted by Arrianne Bell on 7/2/2011
Looooveee it!!
I don't know what the deal is with the bad reviews either! I completely agree with another lady who was/is a fitness instructor. If you do these exercises right they work PERIOD! I love it just focus on your abs and it works great!! - posted by Tasha on 4/1/2011
Nice workout
Hmm, I'm not sure I understand the negative comments to this one. I think the instructor is pleasant and her cueing is great! I did wonder, in the beginning, if the workout would really do the trick but I learned that it did, as I was certainly sore (in the ab area) the next day. Instead of doing the regular, traditional boring sit ups....give it a try--this is fantastic--you get an abdominal workout, add some fun music...and some cardio on top! - posted by Jul on 3/4/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
