Chair Dancing: Around The World |
Chair Dancing Around the World Inspiring |
| I bought this DVD for a friend of mine. She's been through some tough times. She was lucky to survive a life threatening case of meningitis. As a result she became sedentary and gained weight and had little mobility. After several years she has now lost 65 pounds through diet, but her legs muscles are still weak. So I suggested she try chair dancing. I told her to do only what she can and take it a day at a time. I reviewed it myself and I find that it really can strengthen all the muscles in the leg and hopefully she will be able to "walk to the end of the block" as she had hoped she would soon be able to do. Thank You! - posted by Linda on 10/13/2011 |

Jodi Stolove is the best instructor in my opinion |
| I bought 4 of her workouts and she can't be beat. I like her better than some of the popular instructors that I can't keep up with anymore. She is fun, great backgrounds, and a variety of ages and sizes workout with her. I have finally found a workout I can do standing or sitting depending on my degree of mobility that particular day. Her Yoga workout is very good also for stretching. - posted by sarge on 7/31/2011 |

    Too Tough For Me |
| This workout was too difficult for me to do. I have motor neuropathy and have trouble making quick, sure, purposeful movements so the fast pace of this workout was virtually impossible for me to keep up with.
I'm also a wheelchair user so putting my arms above my head for long periods of time is not recommended. My arms were above my shoulders for about twenty minutes straight.
I loved the music, the fun vibe of the video. I was smiling while I worked out, yet in the end it was simply too much for me and exacerbated my symptoms.
I would recommend this to anyone who is recovering from injury and is used to doing regular workouts, active seniors, children- basically anyone who can make sure movements and do them in a quick manner. - posted by Jen on 4/21/2011 |

    It's a winner |
| I bought this for a 30 year old friend who is disabled and he loved it. Says it is the only time he has ever had fun doing exercise. Lets see more like this. - posted by Cindy on 1/28/2011 |

    Assisted Living Facility |
| Residents of the Dubin/Gusher house, loved the idea of chair dancing. Ages are between 80 and 95 yrs. young. They especially loved the music and the idea of using paper plates to get them moving. This tape is a wonderful aerobic for seniors of all ages. - posted by Betty on 12/30/2010 |

Great video for people with knee problems |
| I am 66 years old and I have arthritis in my knees and my right shoulder. I have been doing this video for quite some time and I have more energy and my knees and right shoulder have slowly improved. I like the fact that there are three levels of workout. I definitely started at the lowest and could only do 10 minutes of the video, but I gradually progressed to the higher levels and increased the time. I can recommend this video highly for people with knee problems. - posted by Karen on 11/3/2009 |

    Updated review |
| Even though I am now healed and no longer need to use this, I still throw it in the mix every once in awhile for a fun, light workout. I have even done this workout with an aging parent and my husband and we had so much fun laughing and exercising together. I highly recommend this workout for children, aging parents, injuries, overweight beginners, and anyone who wants to have fun moving! - posted by Injured on 8/21/2008 |

    Invigorating and interesting |
| I enjoyed this video while waiting for a sprained ankle to heal. It was peppy and more challenging than I had expected. The choreography is fun and makes the 45 minutes go fast. - posted by Susan on 4/3/2008 |

Exactly what I was looking for! |
| I recently injured my ankle and was told to stay off it for 6-12 weeks. Having been an intermediate-low advanced exerciser for over 5 years, I was depressed at not being able to walk, rebound, do yoga, AWT, or kickboxing. I wanted to do some type of exercise that wouldn't injure me more, would get my heart rate up, and -most importantly, lift my spirits. I saw the Chair Dancing workouts in the Collage catalog and ordered two of them right away. I tried this one first-it was so much fun! At first it looked silly and cheesy-and it is, but it had me smiling and laughing, made me sweat a little, and got my circulation going. It is 45 minutes long, uses two paper plates, has three difficulty levels-easy to modify around an injury and perfect for anyone out of shape or overweight. There are people of all ages and sizes doing the workout and they all look like they are having a blast. Really made me smile and feel better. Can't wait to try other Chair Dancing workouts. I'm very surprised Collage doesn't list this as a favorite-it is very uplifting and fun, and way more aerobic than Sit and Be Fit. I really enjoyed this workout. - posted by Injured on 1/3/2008 |

| A Surprise! |
| This video was a such a surprise! I bought it for my 75 year old Mother, but reviewed it before I gave it to her. Well, I'll be the first to tell you that I never thought anyone could get a workout while sitting on their rump, but this video proved me wrong! My legs actually felt like I had walked a mile and my heart rate did go up. The music was invigorating and so was the visual aspect of the background set. I also liked the fact that she had people from all walks of life in the video. I liked this video so much, that I almost didn't give it to my mother!
