Finally!!!!
A spin video that makes you feel like you are part of a class! Just finished it for the first time this AM and there will be many mornings when this will be my workout of choice. Thought the music was energizing and felt the instruction was well cued. Very happy with this purchase. - posted by Bev on 3/30/2012
GREAT DVD
I love this DVD....doing a spin class at home is challenging, alot different than taking a class when you have an instructor screaming at you to keep going....Cathe does a great job of keeping you engaged.... - posted by karen on 3/2/2012
Great Workout!
I had to give up my gym membership right as I was starting to get into spinning. I bought my bike and Cathe's DVD in an effort to re-create those great group workouts at home. Cathe is very motivating and this workout is intense! By the end I'm dripping with sweat and my legs are jello - love it! It also seems a lot less cheesy and "80's-ish" than a lot of the other workouts I've run across, but I agree with some of the other reviewers that the music could be a better. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase! - posted by Meghan on 2/16/2012
Great DVD
I love this DVD! It's just like being in spin class! Can't wait for her to come out with a new one!!! - posted by Sue on 2/7/2012
I'll stick to my IPOD
This is just personal preference but I'll stick to doing my spinning works on my own with my IPOD. The workout itself was okay I guess, but I missed the loud and motivating music you get from a gym spin class. It is great music that keeps me going. If you are new to spinning this may be the work out for you but if you are a seasoned spinner I would think twice. - posted by Julie on 1/27/2012
Great Workout!
I think this is a great workout. I have been spinning off and on for 10 years. The past two years I have been spinning once to twice a week using the same 3 videos. I am happy with this addition. I am an advanced exerciser, I exercise 4-5 times a week. I enjoy Bob Harper, Cathe and several other instructors. The cueing was good and the reminders on form were appropriate and timely. If you like to spin this a good investment. - posted by Lori on 12/30/2011
Straight Up Cathe - Great Workout
Cathe is one of my favorites for workout DVDs, and this is another one that I am very happy to have in my collection. - posted by Lauren on 12/22/2011
Good decent workout
Cathe is her usual self, professional and knowledgeable The ride is just okay until the last 30 minutes. I may skip the warm up in the future. Cathe gives a lot of form pointers which are useful if you are new to spinning but not necessary for every ride. I can just warm up to music. The energy picks up half way through the workout. Cathe pushes you and you feel the ride. Unlike spinning classes where you move from seated to standing Cathe has you hover over the seat. This was new to me and great for my bad knees. All and all when you finish you feel you had a good workout. Not killer but strenuous. The music is adequate. There is a music off option. so you can play your own. Especially since you are not riding to the music for most of the workout. - posted by Runita on 12/5/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Premixes
X
These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Specialty: Stationary Bike
X
Videos especially designed for stationary bicycles.
