Certified instructor description: A comprehensive body-sculpting video that's both easy to follow and effective. It feels like you've joined Brook and a few friends for an informal workout. Brooke's instruction is clear and detailed, but totally non-technical (e.g. we're toning our "stomach," not our "abdominals"). No fast-moving rep counts here. Instead, Brooke demos each exercise for 60 seconds. It's a technique that encourages quality reps, not rushed reps. In addition, she includes lots of short stretches between the moves to minimize soreness. The DVD has four body-part-targeted segments: upper/lower, lower, upper and abs. You'll work one muscle group, then fluidly move on to the next. Filmed in an artsy warehouse setting. Requires 2 to 5 lb. dumbbells. ©2011. DVD has: Programmable chapters, Music only option, Wide screen, Close captions, Region 1.

Brooke Burke's Tone & Tighten

LOVE! LOVE!
I have to say that I love this workout. I do this every Sunday morning, and the results are amazing! I have seen more results with this workout than any other I have purchased in a long time. I am a intermediate exerciser, about Brooke's age. There is nothing boring about this workout. I could not do all the reps at first, but now I can keep up with her with no problem. - posted by Annemarie on 5/20/2012
Love Both Her Videos
I'm an avid video exerciser, but almost never do celebrity DVDs. Do these! Deceptively simple, in the "everything for one minute" format, these work. Brook is very real as she does every, often quite difficult but doable, move with you. Hope she comes out with more. - posted by Beth on 5/16/2012
Tough workout even though the instructor is a celebrity
I rarely buy DVDs with a celebrity instructor. It usually appears to me that they are more interested in showing off their body than getting a true work out. Brooke is great, however! Her one minute toners focus on one upper body part and/or one lower body part and you can really feel the burn. The two other ladies that work out with her have 'realistic' body types. One of the ladies shows how to modify the workout for beginners. Though she may not be a trained work out instructor, I would buy another one of her DVDs. She cues well and works very hard while encouraging her viewers to do the same. - posted by Annette on 4/30/2012
Great Workout
I really enjoyed this workout. It was tough. She explained all the moves thoroughly. I, especially, enjoyed that you knew that each move was to last a minute. I have had DVD's where you felt that you were doing the same move for 2 hours. After each move, there is a stretch move. It helps to keep you focused and ready for the next exercise. She is a great motivator. Almost all the exercises were new moves for me. I enjoyed that it wasn't all the same old moves that I've done 20 times. She described each exercise and what you were supposed to be doing in the exercise. She also included modifications for each exercise. All in all, a keeper. - posted by Judy on 3/3/2012
Love the workout
I found this workout to be deceptively challenging. I didn't like it at first, because of the way it's structured. But, once I got into it, I worked up more of a sweat than with some of the other workouts I've tried. I find slow, deep muscle-toning workouts to be more effective and exhilarating than fast-paced workouts. I do have one comment to add about CollageVideo's return/exchange policy. I received this video twice; the first time it was damaged upon opening. CollageVideo exchanged it promptly without any hassle. Just another reason to keep buying workout DVD's from them!! - posted by Trish on 2/23/2012
Love this DVD
Love this workout as it is easy to follow. The reps get you sweating and sore and you really feel like you get a great workout. I love this strength training DVD! - posted by VSgirl on 2/19/2012
This workout is great
I have been working out for 30+ years and am sometimes hard pressed to find something that I really enjoy that is a challenge - well this one is it! I love it! - posted by Donnie on 2/18/2012
Great workout!
I received both of Brooke's dvd's and love them. She is calm, and easy to listen to and explains each move very well. These are a great addition to my regular routine and I enjoy working the large muscles of the butt and legs, more calories burned! Very pleased! Also been a regular exerciser for over 30 years, teaching classes as well and these elevate my heart rate and make me sore, in a good way! - posted by Vicki on 1/31/2012
Brooke Burke's Tone and Tighten
Great video. She has a great physique which gives me more incentive to workout. Some of the moves are different which makes it more fun. I also like how she uses interval training which is more effective. - posted by Anne Gerhart on 1/29/2012
SAVE YOUR MONEY
This is the worst workout DVD I have ever gotten from Collage and I have been a customer for 15 years. It is BORING BORING. She is a terrible instructor. There are very few exercises that are worth doing. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T BUY THIS ONE! - posted by Eileen on 1/26/2012

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
