Brooke Burke's Strengthen & Condition

Great Straightforward Toning Workout
I am at intermediate to advanced level. This is a really nice old school toning series. I loved it. I used 2# weights like Brooke and I was burning in the shoulders. Love the ab section and I HATE to do abs. I have done this 3 times and already feel tighter. If you want a good straightforward toning workout, this is for you. Beware, it is challenging! Tried to up the weight and could not. - posted by Kelly on 5/17/2012
Was not let down!!
After gaining a little too much weight during my pregnancy, I was looking for a strength workout. I am an occasional runner, but needed to get some lean muscle tone. I alternate days, 6 days a week. Within 2 weeks my entire body had changed. My waist line is slimmer, and my mommy poof is almost gone. My legs, butt, and arms have noticeably more definition. Since I am new to the whole strength training, it was a little difficult, but by the 3rd time I had no problems. I did Zumba for 6 months and did not see any improvement. If I new about this site I would have gotten it sooner. I highly recommend this DVD. I also love that you see Brooke stop at times because it's hard for her as well. - posted by Elena on 4/27/2012
Good & Efficient
I did this workout yesterday and I'm sore today, especially my hamstrings & glutes. It's not a super-long workout, but it gets a lot done. I really enjoyed the combination/functional moves, and the way the workout is segmented: warm up, lower body, upper body, core, stretch. Also, it's nice to have each move for 1 minute and then move on. I look forward to doing this again. - posted by Marla on 4/10/2012
Love this workout!
I really like this dvd! I did it yesterday and feel it in my buns and arms today. I am 40 yrs old and due to some old injuries not able to do really hard core weight lifting type workouts. This was just right for me. It was challenging without being too hard. I only used 3 pound weights for the arm section and got a great workout. I like the way it is set up, legs and arms and abs all in different sections so you can choose. Also LOVE that each exercise is one minute, then you move on to the next exercise for one minute and so on. For someone who gets bored easily I liked that the workout moved quickly. Realistically I wont go back to a workout that has a million boring and painful repetitions. I also thought Brooke was pleasant and motivating without being cheesy or annoying. Her interaction with the trainer didn't bother me one bit. She even had to stop and take breaks now and then which gave me hope! Overall Great workout in my opinion! - posted by Kristie on 4/4/2012
Class Act
I have been working out for over 30 years and am constantly looking for workout tapes that are challenging and continue to help me improve. I bought both of Brooke's new tapes and love them both. I find her to be very motivating and her attitude is infectious. It helped me to push myself just a bit more than I would otherwise. I enjoyed her and Greg's (I really liked him too)conversations that provided more detailed instructions on how to do the exercises more effectively. My impression of Brooke's DVD's can be summed up in two words - "Class Act." I will be looking forward to more of her endeavors. - posted by Debbie on 3/27/2012
These workouts are fabulous
I bought both of Brooke's DVD's and find them both to be challenging for someone who has been working out for 30+ years. It is sometimes difficult to find something really challenging and fun when you have been at it for as long as I have but I am enjoying both of these workouts. Thanks Brooke! - posted by Donnie on 2/18/2012
Stop talking over your trainer
I typically can ignore annoying traits during workouts, but I couldn't get over the fact that Brooke is constantly talking over Greg, her trainer. He is trying to tell you about proper form; she interrupts him and starts talking about something else. At certain points, he actually starts talking louder to be heard over her. I also found her over emphasis on breathing to be too much. I liked her other video much better-while the moves may not be as difficult, it isn't as annoying as this one. - posted by Kathrine on 2/13/2012
nice interval training and overall body workout
Her workout is good. quick. not boring. not thrilled with her warm up and cool down. could be better. she is not technical. but, if you want a pretty good at home workout - she is really good. just warm yourself up and cool down. i live the internal training ideas. - posted by Laura on 2/10/2012
A really good workout
I enjoy this workout. It hits every body part and you feel good after you are done. I am glad that she has her trainer with her because Brooke gets a little annoying. He knows what he is talking about so while I am doing the workout I really just want to listen to him and not her. But as far a the workout itself, I really like it and will keep this one for "weight day." - posted by Suzi on 2/9/2012
fun & effective
This is a fun workout with lots of different moves. I love the chemistry between Brooke and Greg (who looks like Christian Bale a little). I had a smile on my face watching these two interact with each other! Great attention to detail and sincerity in wanting to give you a killer workout. Its tough! Add heavier weight if you dare. Cover your lower and upper body and abs. Brooke does the entire workout too which I appreciate. She has a great personality! Both are motivating. Add this to the beautiful scenery & background music I can't recommend this workout enough. I can feel the burn the next day. Both of Brooke's workout dvds are great! - posted by Rebecca on 2/1/2012
