Certified instructor description: This 90-minute program features an endlessly-motivating series of Tae Bo combinations. It’s a super-high-energy fat-burner -- Billy’s longest workout ever (but, for a shorter workout, you can stop at the pre-programmed 59-minute breakpoint). The cardio segment is classic Tae Bo — legendary combos like “fast feet,” “speed bag arms” and “quick steps.” They’re well-cued, smoothly transitioned and never repeated. That’s followed by a challenging set of alternating aerobics and toning intervals. Packaged in a cardboard case. ©2007. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Billy Blanks' Ultimate Tae Bo

surprise
i can't stand Billy Blanks, all the counting & usually too fast-paced to follow. this one was easier to follow. i feel like i got a good workout. the counting just has to go. - posted by Lisa on 3/24/2012
Love It!!
I absolutely love this video!! It pushes you to the max! You need to have accomplished Billy's beginner and intermediate videos before taking this one on, but i love it and use it more than jut once a week! I wish Billy had more videos of this caliber! Love his advanced workouts!! They really make you sweat and you feel like you have accomplished something! - posted by Caroline on 3/3/2012
Take it up a notch!
This is the perfect video to take your fitness level to a brand new height! Billy is serious in this work out but a lot of fun too. Try this...your body will thank you! - posted by Melinda on 1/26/2012
Workout Can Be Fun?
I love Billy Blank's workouts. This one is a little interesting with the dancing at the end of the hour, but it was fun to get silly after a hard workout. I compare this workout to his all his beginning workouts. I am intermediate to advanced and I added this to my many of workout videos during the week. It keeps the heart rate up and who doesn't want to learn some boxing in the process. The moves are easy to follow especially if you have done his previous videos. And I love the fact that there is an extra half hour if I have the time. Definitely worth the money. - posted by Jeri on 9/16/2011
Great workout
I like Billy's Ultimate Tae Bo video, It is fun I am a little slow right but every day I do it, I can see more energy, and more balance. Thank you Billy. - posted by Richard on 9/8/2011
You will get in shape!!!
I have "THIS IS TAEBO". Not for beginners. Intense. This is the first one I have purchased from Billy Blanks. It is KICK A__!!! Love it! If you can hang, you will love it too. Notice difference in a week in my body and weight loss. Will buy more! - posted by Robyn on 9/1/2011
Ultimate Tae Bo Kicked my Tuckus!!!!
I don't know if I am working out with the same dvd as those people who say they don't break a sweat. I am an avid exerciser (Zumba, step aerobics, the works) and I use my heart rate monitor when doing this dvd. I burn a whopping 800+ calories (and I only do the first hour). I had sweat dripping off me and I literally had to wring my sports bra out when I was done. This is a G-R-E-A-T dvd for anyone who wants to burn fat and tone at the same time. Definitely one that should be added to your rotation. - posted by Colleen G. on 7/20/2011
Just like the old Billy workouts
I liked this video. It was a little chaotic at times due to his cueing, but good workout (45 min - 1 hr). The kicking portion is fast so it is hard to keep great form. I didn't care for the dance portion at the end, but the bonus workout is nice. I work out 4-5 times a week doing a bunch of things, so this is a nice one to have in the rotation. - posted by Jen on 5/12/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
