AM and PM Yoga

Great Beginner Yoga Videa
This is the 3rd time I've purchased this video. I have 2 that I use in different places and gave one away. It's a great video to relax and stretch. I especially love the AM workout with Rodney Yee. - posted by Radar1951 on 4/27/2012
EXCELLENT
Very well done, relaxing, great for neck/upper back especially the am Yoga done anytime. Thanks!! - posted by Jill on 12/28/2011
Good but inconsistent
The AM session is great - relaxing, easy, good stretches. The PM session is useless for beginners - too many challenging and complex standing poses. I'm not sure why the two are packaged together. - posted by Ellen on 8/23/2009
Love the AM yoga; could do without the PM yoga
The AM section with Rodney Yee is awesome. Gets the kinks out, yet relaxing and sets your day off great. His directions are spot on and the music is good without being elevator music. The PM part was a little disappointing. The instructor isn't very inspiring (to me), and the filming was blurry.I would give AM yoga a 5, PM yoga a 2. I only do the AM yoga on this DVD. - posted by Karen on 5/24/2009
I love it!
I purchased this video almost 3 years ago and i still love it. I consider myself an intermediate exerciser and even though this is for beginners, it still gets me going in the morning and leaves me feeling peaceful at night. i will say that the p.m. section is more on the intermediate side. some of the stretches that are done by walden can be a little intimidating for someone who is just getting started in yoga. however, i have 25 (i counted the other day!) exercise videos all collecting dust and this is the only one i do consistently so, a very positive review from me! - posted by Cree on 2/26/2009
Recommend for sure
I really enjoy both the AM and PM routines. For me a big part of a yoga DVD is the instructor. I've been unhappy with past DVDs as a result of poor instruction. Rodney and Patricia, however, are both great. They're very relaxing in their tones and easy to follow in their cueing. The moves are definitely on the beginner level, but since I do them either first thing after I wake up or last thing before I go to bed they're perfect - the perfect intensity and the perfect length. I have definitely noticed a difference after working these into my daily routine. The AM routine is great for working out the overnight stiffness and the PM routine is great for calming the mind and preparing for a good night's sleep. I definitely recommend this set! - posted by Christi on 9/24/2008
Great for beginners, you will notice a difference!
I've had this for 6 months and use 3-4x/week. Both segments are SHORT (20 min) - perfect for busy schedules... even I can find 20 minutes! As a beginner with Fibromyalgia, the AM segment helps me loosen up and focus to start my day, and I SLEEP BETTER every time I use the PM segment. If you are looking to begin a yoga practice, or just devote 20 minutes to yourself every day, this is a great choice. Both segments have good instructions, and you will notice your strength and flexibility improve quickly. I would recommend this without hesitation. - posted by Erin on 7/8/2008
Very, very pleased with Rodney Yee's am yoga.
I found Rodney Yee's am yoga perfect start for the day, I exercise five times a week once in the morning and in the evening after work at least 40 minutes both times of day and I look forward to my am yoga. The pm yoga should be removed from the package it is much too difficult. I am now looking for more Rodney Yee dvd's. - posted by Bonnie Jean on 1/11/2008
Good AM stretch - helpful for those with disabilities
I have found this useful as AM stretch everyday to ssist in flexibility - patient with MS - recommended in rehab - posted by Deb on 10/29/2007
After taking a beginner's yoga course for one semester and enjoying the great, refreshed feeling afterwards, I was very inspired to borrow this box set from my sister. I felt the PM didn't hold well for beginners. There were certain poses that I never was introduced to in my yoga course and I felt them difficult to do, although I admittedly still got a nice stretch with the other stretches before bed (and woke up feeling great!). I wouldn't recommend the PM for beginners, though. Rodney's AM session, however, is more along the line of beginners. All poses were feasible to execute and definitely relieved quite a few tight muscles, especially in the lower back. Too bad you can't just buy Rodney's portion! I got rid of the the AM/PM yoga tapes after a while (my sister, who's never taken a yoga class or course didn't feel they were much for beginners either so she allowed me to get rid of them). I am actually considering buying Rodney's other DVDs since I am now a fan! - posted by Ana on 9/3/2007

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
