Certified instructor description: Five distinct 10-minute segments — each with a specific series of poses, each focused on a specific goal. It’s the ideal way to learn and experience different yoga approaches. Once you’ve found your favorites, you can customize the DVD to play the segments in your preferred sequence. You’ll begin with “basics” — simple breathing and sun salutations. Then it’s “buns and thighs” and “abs” — poses carefully chosen to target specific body areas. “Yoga burn” is a faster-paced series of flowing floor and standing routines. Finally, “flexibility,” emphasizes graceful, tension-releasing floor positions. Lara Hudson’s one-on-one teaching is friendly and easy to follow. ©2005. DVD has:

10 Minute Solution: Yoga |
    Too Fast! |
| I don't mind learning Yoga. I enjoy it at a slower pace. But this is way too fast for the beginner. I didn't feel like I had enough time to enjoy one move before getting into the next. If you are good at all the Yoga moves then this is the workout for you. - posted by Angela on 12/10/2011 |

    Love the workouts |
| I am just starting yoga b/c I am not flexible at all. I like that I could work out from 10min. up to 50min. also there is a lot of strength involved. Lara is very friendly and helpful. I look forward to exercising. - posted by Lulu on 6/23/2011 |

    10 minute Yoga |
| Love this video. I can do 10 minutes after I get home from work, or the whole video on the weekends - posted by Carrie on 12/16/2010 |

    great cueing and knowledgable |
| I really enjoyed this video. I thought Lara's cueing was excellent and I had almost given up on yoga because of the back pain from other videos (Shiva Rea and various classes) and had almost decided to stick to pilates but she was able to adequately and fully explain the poses and transitions comfortably so that I was finally able to experience yoga positions to their full value and without pain! I am also not a fan of the too spiritual stuff. This is a no nonsense video. The abs section was very difficult and a bit awkward for my hips but the other sections are excellent. Regardless, Thank you Lara! - posted by Alexis Zhu on 11/25/2010 |

    disappointed......really focused on beginners |
| First 10 minute workout was so focused on beginners I don't think you could use as a workout. The other four were better, but I like the other 10 minute yoga better. - posted by kris on 9/6/2010 |

    Results! |
| I got results with this video. I would do all of them together every day. I lost weight and noticeably increased my flexibility and strength. I could really see the tone and shaping in my thighs. This is a very effective workout. She does stray from authentic yoga however and even includes some pilates inspired crunches (which I did not like). As my love and appreciation for yoga grew, I soon sought out a more authentic yoga practice. - posted by Cher on 1/29/2010 |

Not what I had hoped for |
| I've done other TMS workouts and really enjoyed them, so I thought I'd try yoga. First off, unless you have never, ever done yoga before, Yoga Basics is a throw-away. It's just a series of sun salutations, almost identical to ones you do in the later sections. Yoga Burn was the only truely enjoyable section, although it didn't come through on its claim to raise my heartrate. Yoga for Flexibility was fine, TMS is not really known for their stretch routines. In both of the toning workouts I was distracted by the instructor. Lara is clearly a pilates teachers who quickly learned some yoga postures for this video and she occasionally got her terminology wrong. This does give me hope for her pilates videos at least. Overall, I think that this is a yoga workout for people who don't like yoga. - posted by Libby on 9/13/2009 |

Not my kind of yoga |
| This is power yoga, which I absolutely do not like. I should have read the description more carefully and realized that "faster-paced" means power yoga. I like yoga routines that have a lot of long, slow, relaxing stretches. I like Lara Hudson. I have her pilates tape, and she is a great instructor. - posted by BETH on 2/18/2009 |

    I'd Give It 10 Stars If I Could!!! |
| This is my second DVD I purchased with Lara Hudson as the instructor. She is fantastic and so is this workout...it really is challenging and kicked my butt! It is definitely geared toward the intermediate to advanced yoga crowd. I love the fact that Lara is a no-nonsense instructor...she gets you moving right away. I also have the Rapid Results Pilates DVD she instructs on and I found this yoga DVD more of a challenge than that one. I will definitely be coming back to this one again and again...highly recommend! - posted by Victoria on 1/21/2009 |

    Fantastic yoga workout! |
| The speed or stamina required for some sequences was just too challenging for me when I was newer to Yoga, but it has become one of my favourite yoga DVDs, along with Karen Voight's. As a high-intermediate exerciser, I've found it difficult to find yoga routines that don't bore me or aren't too easy. All the touchy-feely stuff tends to leave me feeling not worked-out (e.g. Rodney Yee). This is athletic yoga. The programmable DVD has come in handy for sure, and I love the segments that really focus on particular body parts. Aside from the more advanced strength required, this is definitely not for beginners--instruction on posture is somewhat limited, though she gives you the essentials. For anyone with some yoga experience who is looking for more of a challenge, this is the DVD for you! - posted by Holly on 1/12/2008 |
