HINTS FOR USING THE FORUM

     

1. Just want to read the posts? Anyone can read anything on the forums -- no need to register. Just find the forum you’re interested in and scan the topics.

     

Or you can use the Search function to find a specific subject by entering a couple keywords.

- To search all the forums, use the Search box at the very top of the page. Make sure the “forum” button is checked (otherwise you’ll be searching the main site for videos, not forum topics).

- To search within just one forum, use the “Search this forum” link at the bottom of each forum.

     

2. Want to ask a new question or reply to a current post?  Unlike our old forum, you MUST be a registered member (see “Want to register?” below).

     

TO ASK A NEW QUESTION: Log in to the forum using the “log in” button toward the top. Then select the Category and Forum that is most appropriate for your subject. Click the “post a new thread” link at the bottom of that Forum. Just enter the Subject and the Text of your posting. Then click on the “post message” link at the bottom left.

     

TO REPLY TO A POST: Log in to the forum using the “log in” button toward the top.  Now go to the message you want to reply to. Then click the “reply to message” button toward the upper right. Just enter the Subject and the Text of your posting. If you want to include the original posting in your message, choose the “quote message” option. Then click on the “post message” link at the bottom left.

     

3. Want to Register?  Registration is easy. You’ll need your first name, an email address and a password. You’ll also need to choose a Screen Name -- that’s the “public” name that will appear with your postings (your first name and email address are only displayed to you). To get started, just click the “Register/Sign-up” link toward the top of the page.
